                The P Pump Series is designed according to the peripheral impeller principle. The special impeller and housing geometry enables higher pressures and a linear characteristic. All parts in contact with the medium are made of PVDF (chemical resistant). The power is transmitted contact free and abrasion-free with a magnetic coupling through the closed housing wall ("Slot-pot") to the pump impeller. An encapsulated counter-magnet is built-in inside the impeller. Therefore, a rigid shaft passage is not necessary.

                Advantages of the P Pump Series:

                • due to the linear characteristic, this pump can be very precisely controlled and metered
                • approximately double the pressure at the same size, compared to conventional centrifugal pumps
                • transfer also possible at rising back pressure e.g. when filters are clogging

                Vertical sealless stainless steel centrifugal pumps, dry-run safe

                Housing and impeller: Stainless steel ANSI 316Ti (1.4571)
                Elastomers: PTFE

                The TE series is for those applications, in which a non-metallic pump cannot be used or is not desired, e.g. for temperatures up to 150°C / 300°F.
                It features a massive vertical shaft extension that directly drives the impeller. The rotating shaft is solely supported by the motor bearings and therefore runs completely contact- and abrasion-free inside the housing. This design concept eliminates the need for shaft seals and additional bearings.
                Optionally, the TE series can be ordered with a shaft seal as a vapor barrier.

                Advantages:
                - dry-run safe
                - no abrasion into the fluid, therefore well suited for high-purity applications
                - suited for high temperatures

                Solid particles up to 3 mm in size and 10 vol.-% are allowed. The maximum viscosity is 150 mPas, the maximum allowed temperature is 150°C / 300°F.

                  The S Pump Series has a special pump housing with a collection container that serves as a liquid reservoir. After filling the liquid container, the pump creates a strong negative pressure and is so enabled to independently prime the medium. In the S Pump Series, the motor power is transmitted without slip directly to the pump impeller through a solid shaft. A mechanical seal prevents the leakage of the media to be pumped and ensures the leak proof sealing of the centrifugal pump.

                  The S Pump Series is especially conceived for the self-priming operation. Therefore, it is particularly suitable if frequent starts with an empty suction line are necessary or the penetration of gasses cannot be prevented. The design and manufacturing materials allow for optimized adaptability for the many different operating conditions as well as for the various media to be pumped

                  • Acid pumps

                  • Acid baths are used in a number of industrial processes, such as in the manufacturing of solar cells, circuit boards and wafers. For these applications pump housings must be made of acid resistant materials like PVDF.

                    Schmitt centrifugal pumps of the Series MDN are designed hermetically sealed and can be used for problematic media such as ozone-enriched hydrofluoric acid.

                  • Lye pumps

                  • Industrial lyes like sodium hydroxide are used as precursors for the production of various chemicals, for the production of soaps and for the neutralization of acids. They can also be used to clean beverage bottles in bottling plants. The pumping of industrial lyes requires special non-corrosive materials for the pump housing. Schmitt Kreiselpumpen offers a wide range of specialized materials for any chemical resistance our customers may require.

                    In addition, our MDN Series pumps are magentically coupled and hermetically sealed so they can be usedhighly volatile media.

                  • Chemical pumps

                  • Chemical pumps are used in the chemical-, petrochemical-, pharmaceutical- and food industry. Pumped media can be problematic, such as corrosive, toxic, volatile, extremely hot or highly-pure. This results in special requirements on the pump's housing and all parts that are in direct contact with the fluid.

                    Schmitt's series MPN and MDN are equipped with magnetic couplings, hence are hermetically sealed and absolutely leak-proof. Due to this construction design, any emission of volatile or toxic media is physically excluded. The pumps' housings are made of materials with the highest chemical resistance, among others polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and Polypropylene (PP).

                  • Centrifugal coolant pumps

                  • Coolant pumps are an essential component in all fluid cooling systems. By circulating the coolant they transport heat away from its source into a heat exchanger and back into the system at a reduced temperature. Typical applications for centrifugal pumps are circulation pumps in heat exchangers and preheaters in the ship industry. Due to the systemic high temperatures the pump's housing and moving parts have to meet special material requirements.

                    The Schmitt UP Series' pump housings are made of stainless steel and can operate with fluid temperatures of up to 150°C. In addition, the UP series is fitted with its own cooling circuit which makes it particularly dry-run safe and ideal for operations under high thermal load.

                  • Circulation pumps

                  • A typical use for circulation pumps is in exhaust washers for the cleaning of industrial emissions.

                  • Solvent pumps

                  • A typical field of application for solvent pumps are industrial cleaning systems. Solvents are challenging media as they are typically volatile, inflammable and hazardous.

                    The U, and UP series, are fitted with open impellers which makes them suitable for fluids that contain solid particles (up to 3mm in diameter and up to 10% in proportion)

                    Series MPN pumps are equipped with magnetic couplings, hence are hermetically sealed and absolutely leak-proof. Due to this particular construction design, any emission of volatile or toxic media is physically excluded.

                  • Food grade pumps

                  • Due to hygiene standards, pumps and pipes used in the food and beverage industry are subject to stringent requirements. In many food processing plants, aggressive acids and bases need to be delivered. Schmitt's MPN and UP series centrifugal pumps are using sterilizable, FDA approved materials which makes them well-suited for deployment in the food and beverage industry.
