Miniature, low power, flexible or box built products? We can help. If you need help finding the right product for your specific application, don't hesitate to contact our dedicated team.
Our air and gas sensors can be used in a wide range of applications where only your imagination sets the limit. However, we have six main areas.
We will help you create successful solutions for your market, no matter if it aims to improve indoor air quality, extend the range of your car, build intelligence into your alarm product, or save lives related to drunk driving. We don't compete with you; we use our tried and tested technology to improve your unique solution with your own brand. Our concept is divided into three simple steps - from sensor core to a complete inCase solution with all its intelligence.
Choose your sensor core from our five adaptable platforms and set your gas sensing options. Pick the platforms that are closest to your needs. Finer adjustments will be done at a later stage. Is it the size that is your most critical factor, or is it perhaps the power consumption? Don't worry if you don't find a platform that fulfils all your needs - it is always possible to tweak the settings.
Our sensor cores are undoubtedly high-tech, but to actually be able to get something out of them, you need to add some features. Here is your chance to add all the things that will make your product unique. Choose between different types of communications, add your display, select a temperature sensor, etc.
Design
When you are finished, it is time for our development team to start their job. 30 years of experience have taught us what to look for when designing an infrared sensor onto a board. There are a few factors to consider:
Design your Sensor inCase
It is time for the last step - the design of your case. You can choose from our preset colours and shapes or make your own. Need help? We have a dedicated design team to help you out.
By measuring the CO2 level, you can regulate the air flow according to need. With demand controlled ventilation you can improve health, prevent the spread of virus and reduce energy costs with up to 50%. By using a self-calibrating sensor, you can mount and forget your sensor for the next 15 years and it will still be accurate.
Good ventilation has become a necessity. Studies show that we spend over 90% of our time indoors. How do we find the perfect balance between money spent on ventilation, versus health and productivity levels affected by bad air quality, which also helps the spread of viruses. You will find our sensors in residential, commercial, and official buildings.
Did you know?
Urbanisation clearly shows that air pollution affects our own health and the environment in densely populated areas. We do not have a solution for that, but we strongly believe that measuring is a good way to scientifically prove what we need to do.
Ninety-seven per cent of climate scientists agree that climate-warming trends over the past century are very likely due to human activities.
Before the Industrial Revolution, CO2 levels did not exceed 300 ppm. In 2013, CO2 levels surpassed 400 ppm for the first time in recorded history. This relentless rise in CO2 exposes the constant relationship between fossil-fuel burning and CO2 levels.
We make sensors that measure carbon dioxide and air quality for people all around the globe in order to make better decisions - for yourself, the environment, and your fellow humans.
Sensors do not provide fresh air, but we believe in the following statement from the book Freakonomics by Levitt: "Knowing what to measure and how to measure it makes a complicated world much less so".
You will find our sensors in alarm systems in restaurants, factories, and mines. Urbanisation, automation, and smart cities will increase the need for sensors to make the right decisions, but you will also find alarms becoming more important than ever. Often, there is no border between sensing/control and alarm system.
Major applications today are in fast-food restaurants, breweries, parking houses, personal safety equipment, and more. CO2 and a few other gases are odourless and at a high enough level, they are lethal. There have been deaths due to CO2 leaks from tanks providing the gas to soda machines. In some countries, there are laws and restrictions connected to tanks where people work with the gas.
Carbon dioxide in itself is not poisonous, but it decreases the concentration of oxygen when in the same confined space.
Our sensors can detect other gases, but you will find many alarm applications sensing CO2.
Discover the next generation of alcohol sensors: A touch-free sensor solutions integrated into the dashboard of the car or state-of-the-art breath testing equipment for workplace and road vehicle use.
The solutions we offer enable usage in road vehicles or workplaces. For OEM customers the sensor can be seamlessly integrated into vehicles so there is no physical hardware in the vehicle cabin. Drivers provide a puff of breath directed towards a small sensor, which can be outfitted in the steering column or side door trim. The system is designed to give a “pass/fail” reading of breath alcohol content in a few seconds.
The sensor technology has also been adapted for a first of its kind mouthpiece free instrumentation for workplace and aftermarket vehicle installations. It is the next generation of alcolocks - for safe and secure starts to each transport, with little inconvenience to the business. The Senseair alcohol sensing products can be used in vehicles or as a stationary check-in system.
Definition of Life Science: "A branch of science (such as biology, medicine, and sometimes anthropology or sociology) that deals with living organisms and life processes".
Our purpose is to make sense of what you measure by providing the best measurement solutions, service and intelligence. In this area, you most probably do not want to gamble on whether the sensors are accurate or not. We make sensors for life.
Life Science is a market where the demand for a controlled environment is growing. There is a demand for a controlled environment in chicken hatcheries and greenhouses as well as for fruit and vegetables in transportation. In the medical world, you can find CO2 meters in anaesthetic equipment, but we also see a demand for in-patient related safety equipment.
Another area is health and fitness, where you can use CO2 as an indicator of metabolism and/or to optimise your exercise cycle.
Sensors are the crucial sensory organs of vehicle safety systems. Measuring gas in the automotive industry has various benefits. For example, by detecting ethanol on the driver's breath, drunk driving can be prevented.
Ten years ago, we started developing an "impossible" alcohol sensor. A sensor that is invisible in the vehicle, but that automatically detects if the driver is in condition to drive. By a simple puff of air, the sensor detects if the driver is in a acceptable condition to drive. Today, the after-market adaptations of the technology is on the market, and OEM solutions are being tested in cars on roads in the US.

CO2 transmitter for installation in the ventilation duct.
aSENSE Duct is a maintenance-free, infrared carbon dioxide transmitter for installation in the ventilation duct. The unit has an industrial housing (protection class IP65) with a duct probe. The product is designed to control ventilation by transmitting the measured carbon dioxide and temperature value to the system´s Master or DDC. The transmitter is flexible and suits many different ventilation strategies. According to most building regulations, the fresh airflow should be at least 7 litres/second and person in rooms where people stay more than occasionally.
If the room occupants are adults with a light work-load and the outdoor CO2 concentration is 350 ppm, this airflow answers directly to an indoor CO2 concentration of 1,040 ppm.
According to the National Boards of Occupational Safety and Health, the CO2 concentration can be used as an indicator of the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). A CO2 concentration below 1,000 ppm should always be the aim.
