  • Recycling

  • Our product range for the RECYCLING industry consists of shredders, bag openers, screens and conveyor systems for the mechanical treatment of solid waste products.

    Depending on the input material and the application, we offer both slow speed pre-shredders (RAPTOR, DINOSAURUS®, TRIREX) and high speed calibrating shredders (WOODHOG). Bag openers (BAGRIPPER®) open up collection bags and tangles of waste, release the contents without damage and dose the material into the downstream sorting plant.


    Next to that, we build screens for the correct separation of fines (ECODISC®) or for the removal of oversized parts (SCALPEL) to avoid clogging in the subsequent separation line. Finally, we build turnkey shredding and screening solutions completed with a total range of modular conveyor systems.

      • DINOSAURUS

      • The DINOSAURUS is a stationary, slow speed, double-rotor shredder with hydraulic or electric drive.

        The two hydraulic driven rotors are independently programmable and shred the input material through a central knife and two lateral knives. The different types of central and lateral knives that can be used, together with the unlimited adjustment possibilities of the PLC, turn the DINOSAURUS into the most flexible shredder available on the market. This enables us to adapt each shredder to the specific requirements of our customers and to the required product specifications for their production processes.


        The individual control of the shredding rotors also ensures a regular and adjustable dosage of your waste stream, avoiding bridging and winding of the material to be shredded.

        The DINOSAURUS pre-shredder is available in the following models, depending on the capacity to be processed and the desired setup:

        • DINOSAURUS 1800S
          Stationary, slow speed, double rotor pre-shredder with electric power pack. This model has shorter rotors and less power.
        • DINOSAURUS 2600S
          Stationary, slow speed, double rotor pre-shredder with electric power pack.
        • DINOSAURUS 2600T
          Mobile, slow speed, double-rotor shredder on a semi-trailer chassis, with integrated diesel engine power pack.
        • DINOSAURUS 2600R
          Mobile, slow speed, double-rotor shredder on tracks, with integrated diesel engine power pack.


      • TRIREX

      • The TRIREX is a stationary, slow speed triple-rotor shredder with hydraulic drive.

        Three rotors with individual hydraulic drive shred the input material in both directions of rotation through two central knives and two lateral knives. The rotating speed is continuously adjustable per rotor.

        Throughput varies from 15 to 150 tonnes per hour, depending on the input material and the desired output size.

        The heavy-duty construction and the powerful hydraulic drives guarantee a high availability at low and manageable operating costs over the long term, even in continuous operation and under extreme conditions. The shredding table is virtually insensitive to unshreddable material.

        The TRIREX is further characterised by its large square input hopper. This makes the machine particularly suitable for bulk loading by a large-capacity polyp grab. The wide cutting table avoids bridging.

      • BagRipper

      • The RENTEC BAGRIPPER is a totally new approach to the classic bag ripper or bag shredder, in which RENTEC remains faithful to the qualities for which it is famous.

        The machine differs in several aspects from classic bag openers / bag shredders :

        • no cutting process
        • totally insensitive to intruding material
        • perfectly constant output => higher separation efficiency, higher sorting quality and higher availability of the sorting plant
        • opening degree > 99% => higher recycling rate and reduced share of residual material
        • no damage to the recyclables => no creation of additional fines
        • gigantic capacity
        • minimal maintenance and cleaning

        When sorting separately collected lightweight household packaging (density of 80 kg/m3), the BagRipper eDrive (2 x 55 kW) can process over 25 tons/hour. The intelligent PLC can be adjusted to any desired capacity, thus feeding a perfectly constant and dosed flow to the (automatic) sorting plant. The machine is also able to treat the more elaborate plastics (films, tapes, ribbons ...) of P+MD (Belgium).

      • RAPTOR

      • The RAPTOR is a stationary, slow speed, monorotor shredder with hydraulic drive.

        One hydraulically driven rotor, with a diameter of 1 meter, shreds the input material in both directions of rotation on two bolted side combs. The side combs can be different on the left and right side to achieve a coarser or finer end product according to the preferred rotating direction. The operator can determine the rotating speed, direction and time per rotating direction according to the specific application via the control display. In case of overload, the rotor switches to the other rotation for an adjustable time.

        This shredder is particularly suitable for the shredding of household waste and biodegradable waste streams.

        The RAPTOR pre-shredder is available in following models, depending on the capacity to be processed and the desired layout:

        • RAPTOR 2600S
          Stationary, slow speed, mono-rotor shredder with electric power pack (90 kW - 132 kW - 160 kW).
        • RAPTOR 2600T
          Mobile, slow speed, mono-rotor shredder on trailer chassis, with integrated diesel engine power pack.
      • Woodhog

      • RENTEC installs the first 4064 WoodHog in Belgium.

        This super-duty, high-speed grinder processes post-consumer wood waste to the specifications of the chipboard industry and the green energy suppliers.

        The shredder is equipped with a 250 - 315 kW electric motor with frequency control. This offers following advantages :

        • total control of power surges during start-up
        • adjustable rotor speed to adapt the size of the output material to the customer's specifications
        • controlled reduction of the rotor speed to a standstill within 2 minutes after switch-off

        The rotor is suited for 100 mm thick, 25 kg heavy, both swinging and fixed hammers. These are equipped with dismountable and weldable hammer tips. The calibration basket consists of individual welded screens that can be exchanged according to wear or desired final product size.

        A ballistic ejector is mounted in the feed hopper which allows solid metal jamming material to leave the grinding chamber immediately in order to avoid further wear and damage.

      • Conveyer systems

      • Conveyors developed especially for use in mixed heterogeneous solid waste : dry, wet, rolling, sliding, light, heavy...

        In order to meet specific customer requirements, RENTEC also builds conveyor belt systems for the recycling industry. Complementary to our range of shredders, they allow us to build complete solutions including magnetic systems, screens and/or air separators.

        Our conveyor belts are designed for use in mixed solid waste: dry, wet, rolling, sliding, light, heavy...

        We make use of a modular cabinet system so that our conveyors can be quickly adapted to changes in set-up, application, etc...

    • Palm oil

    • For the extraction of red palm oil, we build modular units, turn-key installations and individual machines.

        • PALMITO 125-175 kg/h

        • The PALMITO is a very robust, improved village type palm oil mill, processing averagely 125 to 175 kg of handthreshed fruit of the ’Tenera’ species per hour.

          This stand-alone mill consists of 3 essential modules that guarantee an efficient extraction process. The PALMITO includes :

          • a biomass fired continuous fruit cooker with proper heat insulation
          • a diesel motor driven screw press
          • an oil clarifier
        • RURAL 250-325 kg/h

        • Semi-industrial small scale palm oil mill for treatment of handthreshed fruit

          The RURAL is a semi-industrial small scale palm oil mill, pre-assembled in one 20ft. customized container, processing about 250 to 325 kg of handthreshed fruit of the ‘Tenera’ species per hour.

          A screw conveyor feeds the threshed palm fruit to a continuous cooker/digester.

          A motorized screw press extracts the oil, which is then pumped to the double decanting system. The steam for this process is supplied by a biomass fired steam boiler; a reliable diesel generator enables the mill to work independently in remote locations.

          The plug-and-play system requires very limited civil works and is easy to install using local labour. A RENTEC engineer will supervise the set-up and commissioning of the installation on your site and fine tune the equipment.

          The RURAL has been designed to be a sustainable and profit making mill with low maintenance cost, simple to operate but generating funds with a limited investment, even at low oil prices.

        • MODULAR 1 T/h

        • The MODULAR is a highly efficient palm oil mill producing top grade CPO on an industrial scale. The prefabricated mill is based on a sustainable logical process, built with well-engineered and sturdy equipment.

          With a processing capacity of 1 ton of FFB per hour, the MODULAR is a unique, fully operational mill, preassembled in 4 containers, for easy shipment and installation on site, designed specifically for installation in remote areas.

          The MODULAR comprises following elements :

          • a pressure sterilizer
          • self-cleaning rotating drum thresher
          • a digester
          • twin screw press
          • a double continuous oil and sludge decanter
          • an oil dryer
          • a nut cracker
          • a reliable diesel generator
          • a biomass fueled steam boiler
        • JUNIOR 6 Ton/h

        • The JUNIOR mill for the extraction of red palm oil has been designed as a completely independent and standardised production unit with a nominal capacity of 6 tons of FFB per hour.

          It can process the harvest of ca. 1.500 to 2.000 hectares of palm plantations (depending on the variety, hydrological deficit, location, maintenance of the plantations,...).

          The JUNIOR mill is an industrial plant equipped with the following essential elements to obtain top grade oil:
          • two horizontal sterilisers
          • an extraction unit
          • a clarification unit
          • a basic kernel recovery unit
          • a boiler
          • a diesel alternator
        • Pressure Steriliser

        • Stand-alone, vertical and horizontal, pressure sterilisers with quick closing door. Compliant for 3 bar operation pressure.

          Direct steaming is used to sterilise the FFB in order to:

          - brake further development of acidity in the oil
          - facilitate loosening fruits from the stalks
          - prepare the fruit pump for further treatment
          - loosen partially the kernels from the shells.

          Vertical or horizontal steriliser are available based on the requested capacity.

          All sterilisers come with a quick closing door, enabling the operator to work in safe conditions.

        • Nutcracker

        • A nutcracker enables the recovery of palm kernels from pressure sterilised nuts.

          The CP1 nutcracker is part of the standard equipment supplied with a MODULAR 1T/hour palm oil extraction unit. It can also be supplied separately.

      • Rendering

      • For the treatment of animal by-products, we build shredders, dryers, cookers, sterilizers, hammer mills and screw conveyor systems.
          • DYNO Pre-crusher

          • The DYNO pre-crushers are especially designed to shred animal by-products (carcasses, fats, meat waste, bones).

            They are also used to shred food waste, green waste, wood, etc.

            Available in mono or double rotor execution, it is the ideal pre-crusher for the shredding of organic residues of animal or vegetable origin.

            The heavy duty design of the DYNO pre-shredder ensures a long shelf life.

            The DYNO pre-crusher reduces the input material to an acceptable calibration size for further processing or shredding to an even smaller size in the subsequent process. This pre-shredder is used worldwide in various leading rendering plants, fat melting plants and waste processing units.

          • KALIBRO calibrating crusher

          • The KALIBRO is a calibrating crusher designed especially for the treatment of organic by-products of animal or vegetable origin:

            • by-products of animal origin: bones, fat, etc.
            • biodegradable waste and food surpluses
            • non-metallic and non-inert mixed solid waste

            It is often used behind a RENTEC DYNO pre-crusher.

            The RENTEC KALIBRO is mainly used in fat melting plants, bone processing plants, rendering plants as well as in the processing of animal by-products and food surpluses.

          • Hammer mill

          • After the removal of water and the extraction of fat, the grinding the solid fraction into meat and bone meal by means of a hammer mill is the last step in the rendering process.

            The hammer mill grinds cooled press cakes into meat and bone meal of less than 2 mm. Available in 30-45-75-90 KW and 1500 or 3000 rpm, it has a processing capacity of up to 6T/h.

            The hammer mill grinds the cooled press cakes into flour smaller than 2 mm.

        • Autoclaves

        • Pressure vessels for optimisation of material properties by means of pressure and/or temperature
              • Autoclaves and pressure vessels

              • RENTEC builds autoclaves according to the specific requirements of the client or the project. Whether you need a horizontal or vertical design, in carbon steel or stainless steel and up to a diameter of 3m, every autoclave is custom made.

                Direct steam or compressed air brings the pressure inside the autoclave up to 30 bar. Heating is obtained by steam or hot air using electric registers or thermal oil.

                Our autoclaves are available with a pressure-resistant, quick-closing door that can be operated hydraulically, electrically or manually.

                RENTEC autoclaves are equipped with all necessary safety devices according to the international regulations for pressure vessels. Our in-house engineering and production is a guarantee for the highest level of quality and safety. Each autoclave is therefore certified by a notified body.

              • Wood recycling

              • RENTEC designs, builds and installs installations for the separation and cleaning of A and B wood. This prepares the wood waste for recycling and waste-to-energy production. Shredders, screen, separation machines and conveyor belts are produced in-house.
