  • Offer Profile
  • Bergey Windpower is the oldest and most experienced manufacturer of residential-sized wind turbines in the world.

Thirty years ago Bergey pioneered the radically-simple “Bergey design” that has proven to provide the best reliability, performance, service life, and value of all of the hundreds of competitive products that have come and gone in that time. With only three moving parts and no scheduled maintenance necessary, the Bergey 10 kW has compiled a service record that no other wind turbine can match. We back it up with the longest warranty in the industry.
Product Portfolio
  • Turbines

  • Bergey wind turbines are available in two sizes, a 10 kW unit primarily used for reducing utility bills and a 1 kW primarily used for off-grid applications. Both models have been installed in thousands of sites around the world and are market leaders in performance and reliability. If you are looking for a wind turbine for your home the Bergey Excel-S is the model for you.
      • Bergey XL.1

      • With a rotor diameter of 2.5 meters (8.2 ft) and a peak output of approximately 1,300 watts the XL.1 is intended for the off-grid home market in the U.S., telecommunication sites, and for rural electrification programs in developing countries. It is also a perfect upgrade system for current owners of solar-only off-grid systems.
Very quiet operation is achieved with advanced rotor design and an oversized alternator that reduces the rotor operating speed.
