ELiiXA+ 8k/4k Colour
- e2v’s next generation of line scan cameras are setting
new, high standards for line rate and image quality. Thanks to e2v’s
recently developed multi-line CMOS technology, the camera provides high line
rates and combines high response with an extremely low noise level; this
delivers high signal to noise ratio even when short integration times are
required or when illumination is limited. The 5μm pixel size is arranged in
four active lines and dual line filter configuration allowing the camera to
be operated in several modes: True colour mode with 10µm R,G,B pixels to
provide equivalent colour fidelity to 10µm pixel tri-linear solutions with
advanced immunity to web variation or Full definition mode with 8,192 R,G,B
pixel resolution.
ELiiXA+ 16k/8k Colour

for line rate and image quality. Thanks to e2v’s recently developed
multi-line CMOS technology, the camera provides an unmatched 100,000 lines/s
and combines high response with an extremely low noise level; this delivers
high signal to noise ratio even when short integration times are required or
when illumination is limited. The 5μm pixel size is arranged in four active
lines, ensuring optimal spatial resolution in both scanning and sensor
directions with standard F-mount lenses. Vertical and horizontal binning
functions allow the camera to be operated in a 8,192 pixels, 5µm x 5µm pixel
pitch, 4 active CMOS lines mode or 4,096 pixels, 10µm x 10 µm pixel pitch, 2
active CMOS lines mode depending on the user settings. This versatile
feature sets new standard for next generation machine vision systems.
ELiiXA+ 16k

line CMOS technology, the camera provides an unmatched 100,000 lines/s in a
16k pixel format and combines high response with an extremely low noise
level; this delivers high signal to noise ratio even when short integration
times are required or when illumination is limited. The 5µm pixel size is
arranged in four active lines, ensuring optimal spatial resolution in both
scanning and sensor directions with off-the-shelf lenses. An outstanding
data rate in excess of 1.6 Gpixels per second, delivered via a new CoaXPress
interface, allows for extremely high throughput and opens up an array of new
possibilities for the next generation of inspection systems for demanding
applications such as flat panel display, PCB and solar cell inspection.
AViiVA® 2 series
AViiVA EM1
- The fastest GigE Vision Line Scan Camera
EM1 is the perfect candidate for applications requiring both the ease of
use, the multi cast capabilities, the overall system cost perspectives of
the Gigabit Ethernet interface and the highest electro optical and line rate
performances. Based on the latest generation of e2v sensors, EM1 features
unmatched electro optical performances. The camera embeds an advanced GPIO
that meets with the latest Genicam standard and SNFC v1.2.1 in order to
bring to the user the most versatile solution and the needed
interoperability to deal with peripheral components such as trigger signal
generators. A user friendly software package is also released with the
camera and includes iPORT PureGEV suite from Pleora as well as standard/high
performance drivers.
AViiVA EM2
- The highest performances using 80MHz data rate standard
The EM2 is the newest member of the AViiVA family of linescan cameras. It is
designed to be
the best choice for mid-range applications,
with resolution from 0.5k to 4k pixels. The brand new electronics and CCD
design give excellent results in term of image quality and signal to noise
ratio. Coupled to a rich feature set, such as automatic FFC, LUT, or
automatic tap balance,
it is an ideal choice for demanding inspection applications.

image quality. With resolutions of up to 4096 pixels, and the design of new
CCD image sensors, it delivers state of the art performance, without
compromise. Its comprehensive built-in feature, including automatic FCC, LUT
or automatic tap balance, are positioning it as the perfect choice for high
demanding machine vision applications. The EM4 benefits from e2v’s long
experience in imaging, and the proven qualities of the AViiVA family :

DiViiNA® series
DiViiNA LM1
- DiViiNA has been specifically designed to provide the
best answer to machine vision system integrators that are under cost
reduction pressure and at the same time are eager to maintain high liner CCD
performance in a 1k, 2k and 4k pixel format. Offering a Gigabit Ethernet
interface gives further cost reduction perspectives at the machine vision
system level and therefore makes DiViiNA LM1 an outstanding choice for
mid-range machine vision applications. The simple functionalities of DiViiNA
LM1 coupled with a user friendly software package including complete SDK,
software tools, sample applications and documentation make the integration
in any system very easy.
DiViiNA LM2
- The DiViiNA camera is an easy-to-use and robust solution
with very simple functionalities that provides the perfect image quality for
mid-range applications. It has been specifically designed to provide the
best answer to machine vision system integrators that are under cost
reduction pressure but are eager to maintain high CCD performance. The
DiViiNA cameras embed the proven quality 1024, 2048 and 4096 pixel sensors
from e2v, running at 40MHz and outputting 8 bits on Camera Link. They can be
set through a flexible and easy serial control and triggered on free run and
external trigger modes.

ELiiXA 3V
- The ELiiXA 4096 pixel camera is the ideal candidate
for the most demanding of applications requiring high acquisition. Using
e2v's unique technology,
the CCD sensor features unmatched performance:
line rate up to 54 KHz, row spacing of two pixels center between the three
lines and enhanced response with the back side illumination technology.
ELiiXA 4S
- The ELiiXA 4096 pixel camera is the ideal candidate
for the most demanding of applications requiring high responsivity
detection. Using e2v's unique technology, the CCD sensor features unmatched
performance: line rate up to 18 KHz, row spacing of two pixels center
between the four lines and enhanced response with the back side illumination
technology.
ELiiXA UC4/UC8
- The ELiiXA 4096 pixel camera is the ideal candidate for
the most demanding applications requiring multi wavelength detection
(including NIR).
Using e2v's unique technology, the CCD sensor features unmatched
performance: line rate of 18KHz, row spacing of two pixels center to center,
enhanced blue response and three lines (RGB) or four lines (RGB plus a
fourth line either monochrome or NIR).
AViiVA® series
AVIIVA UM2
- The new AViiVA Gigabit Ethernet UM2 camera has been
designed with three concepts: accuracy, versatility and easy implementation
while it features a compact housing design (56x60x40.6mm). High-data rate,
standard interface hardware, throughputs of 125MB/s with cable length up to
100 meters, camera control, are additional criteria for this new attractive
interface option.
AViiVA SM2
- This smarter camera offers the best in linescan cameras
with an increasingly improved accuracy, versatility and easy implementation
and can be interfaced with all major Camera Link and LVDS frame grabbers.
The same compact mechanical design incorporates all sensors from 512 to 4096
pixels (10 or 14 micron pixel size) and can operate in up to 12 bits with
flat-field correction and contrast expansion functions. All features
combined, the AVIIVA SM2 is ideal for demanding industrial applications such
as food sorting, wood or currency inspection, CD or DVD quality control or
flat panel displays
AViiVA UM4
- This new Ultimate Monochrome (UM) AViiVA camera is RoHS
compliant. It provides detailed inspection capability in a multi-camera
system, with 8192 pixels of resolution and four outputs up to 40 MHz, the
camera offers improved sensitivity leading to a dynamic range of 62 dB. The
AViiVA UM4 includes flat field correction and automated tap balancing, which
ultimately meets OEMs’ exacting demands with an ease of use of the camera.
The compact housing (76 x 76 x 56 mm) and the Camera Link® interface allow
for better integration into existing systems. The AViiVA UM4 is ideal
particularly for surface inspection (flat panel display, PCB…), web
inspection or document scanning.
AViiVA UM8
- The most advanced member of the AViiVA line scan family
combines the best of our technology associating higher performance and easy
use. The AViiVA UM8 is dedicated to industrial machine vision application.
This camera provides more detailed inspection in a multi-camera system, with
12k pixels resolution, eight taps working at 40MHz, line rates reaching 25K
lines per second and dynamic range of 64 dB. This line scan camera will
significantly reduce the overall multi-camera system cost for customers in
flat panel display inspection, PCB inspection and high performance Web
inspection applications.
AViiVA SC2
- This new member of the AVIIVA™ range of cameras features
a 4K pixel color sensor with a 10 micron pixel size and an RGB colour
pattern (1365 x RGB pattern). This smarter camera supports both Camera Link,
LVDS interface and is operable within a dynamic range of 8, 10 or 12 bits
with dedicated electronics.

Product Overview
- e2v's CMOS and CCD image sensors are designed to
operate across the visible and x-ray spectrum for aerospace, medical,
biometry, graphic art, surveillance, machine vision, barcode scanning and
other industrial applications.
CMOS image sensors
- Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductors (CMOS) image
sensors will play a growing role in scientific, space & defence applications
over the coming years. Some advantages include:
- Greater radiation tolerance (particularly for proton radiation)
- No frame shift smear (useful for applications such as hyperspectral imaging)
- Low power consumption
e2v has a long established capability in CMOS image sensor design including
both in house designers and partnerships with European design houses. This
expertise, along with our expertise in packaging and testing image sensors
have enabled the successful completion of our first CMOS image sensor space
programme.
e2v is now in the process of producing a number of semi-standard CMOS image
sensors for a range of applications. Included are low noise devices for
science applications and a hyper-spectral imager for space.
CCD image sensors
- e2v is the leading supplier of Charge Coupled Devices (CCDs)
to scientific, space, astronomy and defence applications with an impressive
record of successful deliveries to a wide range of customers over the
decades.
Partial or full design customisation is available alongside standard parts,
to produce the device characteristics required for the best possible system
performance.
CCD imaging sensor design, manufacture, test and characterisation are
in-house with multi-polysilicon, multi-metal and back-illumination
fabrication available for high speed, resolution, sensitivity and low noise.
EMCCD imaging sensors - L3Vision™
- L3Vision™ (also known as electron multiplication CCD or
EMCCD) is an advanced CCD technology that offers performance in excess of
the best intensified CCDs. L3Vision™ finds its main areas of application in
photon-starved situations such as night-time surveillance, astronomy or the
detection of fluorescent and luminescent markers in life sciences. Its
ability to operate across the full range of light levels brings a huge
increase in system flexibility. In life sciences, fast, high sensitivity
operation can be combined with quantitative, slow-scan and time integrated
imaging measurements. For surveillance, true 24-hour capability is now
possible in one sensor.

and mitigation processes.

High reliability ICs with lifetime continuity of supply
- e2v aerospace and defense inc. (incorporating QP
Semiconductor), is based in Milpitas, California. The company was founded in
1985 and today is the largest fabless semiconductor firm serving the
military, aerospace and high reliability industries. During the past decade,
the facility has evolved into the leading semiconductor company that
designs, re-engineers and provides a full range of manufacturing
capabilities to extend the life of classic ICs for a host of
mission-critical programmes, focusing on the provision of replacement
hermetic parts for DMS (Diminished Manufacturing Sources) and EOL (End of
Life) products.
High speed broadband data converter products and
evaluation boards
- e2v's family of 8, 10 and 12-bit A/D data converters has
grown to include sampling rates from 500 Msps to 5 Gsps; all without the
need for added off-chip external interleaving techniques. An e2v data
converter provides reveiver designers with market leading high linearity,
ENOB and dynamic range coupled with analog bandwidths from 1 GHz to over 3
GHz for true high IF sampling.
The 12-500 Msps ADC is the latest in e2v's quest for both high linearity and
high dynamic range. Featuring 72 dB SFDR in second Nyquist, digital control
and low 2.3W power consumption, the AT84AS001TP offers designers peace of
mind when confronted with receiver system speed limits.

Hi-rel microprocessors
- With over 25 years of experience in the microprocessor
market and in close partnership with Freescale Semiconductor, e2v offers a
wide range of high reliability microprocessor products dedicated to serve Hi
Rel applications such as avionics, defence, space, industrial and field
telecommunications. The hi-rel microprocessors are based on PowerPC and 68k
architecture and are supported by a range of key peripherals in partnership
with Tundra Semiconductor.
MRAMs
- e2v's MRAM type EV2A16A is an extended-reliability
version of the MR2A16A from Everspin. It is the ideal memory solution for
applications that must permanently store and retrieve critical data quickly.
It perfectly suits the requirements of critical embedded applications such
as avionic, aerospace and defence environments.
