  • smartGAS Mikrosensorik GmbH develops and produces reliable, precise and cost-effective nondispersive infrared sensors (NDIR) for detecting gases in diverse areas of application. The product spectrum includes sensors for gas analysis, process measuring technology and indoor air monitoring, gas detectors, as well as installations and custom solutions. On the basis of the available standard sensors smartGAS also offers custom adaptation to specific customer requirements - everything is possible, from modification of the measuring range to development of a completely new solution.         Diffusion sensors for ambient air monitoring are available from smartGAS as the BASICEVO series. Just like all smartGAS-sensors are distinguished by low detection limits, very slight drift, a large temperature range, a fast response time and low maintenance costs. The BASICEVO series is therefore the optimal solution for all applications in which an ambient air sensor should be reliable and at the same time simple in its handling.

        The BASICEVO is a non Dispersive Infra Red (NDIR) gas sensor for ambient air monitoring using dual wavelength technology. It is designed for leak detection in small concentration ranges (ppm range) for wall mount detectors and room air monitoring devices.

        The measuring of gases has long since become standard in many applications. In the past, customers and developers were previously nevertheless often forced to adapt their applications and requirements to the gas measuring technology that was available at the time - we want to change this.

        One example is our TRANSMITTEREVO, which we have developed for customers for whom their own device development and product is not economical due to small or medium quantities. With the TRANSMITTEREVO, we offer the option of adapting the front foil to suit the customer's design and adjusting the device to his application in the best possible way, using installed sensors from the BASICEVO-series. This means that the customer receives "his device" - without compromises!

          NDIR sensors from smartGAS offer many advantages for successful process measurement and are therefore ideal for use in process control. They have a large spectrum of measurable gases and are especially convincing where it is important to have the utmost precision and reliability. Different versions can be very easily combined, also facilitating complex measuring tasks. All smartGAS sensors are designated by low detection limits, very small drift, a large temperature range and a fast response time and markedly low operating and maintenance costs

          Our NDIR sensors in the FLOWEVO series combine measuring precision with compact design and simple handling. We have minimised sizes considerably, without having to make compromises in terms of performance.

          The PAS sensor is based on the measurement principle of photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS), one of the most sensitive measurement methods for detecting gases. By spectrally tuning to the respective target gas, the PAS sensor achieves very high selectivity and delivers highly precise measurement results even at the lowest gas concentrations.

          The sensor module can be operated via a downstream controller, but can also control a variety of processes and peripheral components itself. The PAS sensor is characterized by a very low zero drift and a very low influence by water vapor cross sensitivities.

          Applications such as the emission measurement of several gases like CO2, CO and SO2 or the measurement of TOC (Total Organic Carbon) require multi-channel sensors. SILAREX gas sensors have been developed for this application case and enable parallel concentration measurement of up to three measuring gases or three detection ranges with one single NDIR gas sensor. The cross-sensitivities of the individual gases are compensated directly inside the SILAREX sensor, providing the user with fully prepared and corrected measuring values via Modbus ASCII / RTU for further processing. Compared to measuring with three individual sensors, the advantages are obvious: Only one sensor needs to be calibrated and maintained; varying sample preparation, different accuracies or life cycles of the sensors do not need to be considered.
