                                  • Fiber laser with wavelength 2 µm

                                  • Due to specific absorption properties of some polymers, organic material, silicon and some metals laser wavelengths around 2 µm have advantages for laser processing. Therefore these lasers from Advalue are mainly used on plastics, semiconductors and for medical applications.

Advalue lasers are built on a seeder with amplifier. Both modules are offered separately. The seed laser is available also in narrow linewidth versions, see below.

Pulsed 2 µm lasers operate with a q-switch in the nanosecond range or as modelocked versions with 2-3 ps pulse duration . Wavelength customization is available from 1.92 µ to 2.0 µm

                                            • Holography

All lasers feature a TEM00 profile and are already polarized.
                                      • CW Fiberlaser, high polarization

                                            • CW Fiberlaser, high polarization

                                            • The fiberlasersystem KKFL-20 is the first step for KIMMON KOHA to start into the materials processing world of lasers. A key issue of the introduced laser is it´s polarization level. Because of this the CW-laser is predicted to use for frequency doubling or trippling. Nevertheless 20 Watt outputpower is also interesting for marking, soldering or welding.
                                        • Gas lasers HeCd, Ar, Kr, HeNe

                                            • Argon Ion Lasers, air cooled, up to 300mW

                                            • Many systems for bio analysis, flow cytometry and DNA sequencing are using aircooled argon-ion-lasers to create fluoreszence. Nevertheless the request for this lasers is going down so that some of the suppliers of argon-lasers are reducing their productrange more and more.

Our supplier MODU-LASER is offering the series Aries-163/2211, which offers same footprint and similar optical specifications, as the former installed systems for easy integration.
                                            • Argon Ion Lasers, air cooled, up to 1000mW

                                            • Soliton offers argon ion lasers for bio analysis, flow cytometry, DNA sequencing and semi conductor inspection with outputpower up to 1 Watt. The wavelengthseparation has to be done externaly, for example by filters or with a prism.

                                              All lasers are aircooled.

                                              • Ultra Narrowband CW Lasers

                                              • By injecting laser light from diodes into a "Whispering Gallery Mode" (WGM) microresonator, which originally comes from microwave technology, OEWave's ultra-narrow-band laser can be offered at different wavelengths.

With the least phase noise, line widths of up to 80 Hz or 1 Hz are achieved, depending on the model. Standard laser models work in the  ranges 1530-1565 nm and 1900-2100nm, as well as in the visible. The lasers are very compact and fiber-coupled.
                                              • Diode Laser 375 - 785nm

                                              • Specifications
                                                • wavelength: 375; 395; 405; 420; 445; 473; 488; 515; 642; 660; 675; 685 und 785nm
                                                • outputpower: up to 250 mW (depending on model)

These diode laser modules stand for exceptional beam quality, high output power and very stable signal combined in an ultra compact case.

The temperature stabilization via peltier elements and the power stability are micro processor controlled.

The lasers can be used as cw sources for spectroscopic applications like photoluminescence exitation or pulsed for digital process in the print industry environment. Now available for the cw versions are new attachments for line width reduction of the diodes. Some models are build for coherence-length larger than 10 meters.

Interfaces with indutrial standards facilitate the integration in existing systems. Since all vital cooling parts are build into the laser head, the laser can be operated almost out of the box. The small package of only 100 x 40 x 40mm³ (l x w x h) further simplifies the upgrade of existing gas lasers to this solid state technology.

All models are available in pigtailed fiberversion too. A FC/AFC-connector will be offered.

Pyroelectrical sensors are only able to detect modulated or pulsed lasers.

A benefit of such detector heads is that they can be directly connected to an oscilloscope and energies from µJ to J can be detected without any amplifier or readout unit.

Further we can offer a two channel monitor or a PC-interface as readout unit. For both systems the software is included.

During the calibration procedure the output signal of the customer detector is compared with the output signal of the reference detector. To eliminate inaccuracies due to laser fluctuation, a beam splitter and a monitor detector are used.

Normally the third harmonic of a YAG laser (355 nm) is used for the calibration of pyroelectrical detectors and a diode laser (880 nm) is used for all thermopile detectors. For special requirements and for detectors having a strong wavelength dependent sensitivity, it is useful to calibrate at customer wavelength.

Manufactured for a wavelength range of 300 to 2700 nm rivaling the span of a Glan-Thompson calcite polarizer, this optic is ideal for broadband applications.

The proprietary composition of the OWL allows for an unprecedented width of spectral range at a fraction of the cost of other competing polarizers. This cost savings is coupled with a thickness of only 0.182” including mount and solid contrast ratio through the entire range from UV to IR.
                                                                              • Deep UV Polarizers

                                                                              • Developed for wavelengths between 245 and 285 nm, this polarizer is ideal for applications around 266 nm. Additionally, this polarizer is transparent in the visible range, allowing visible light to easily pass through. The UV Polarizer has a proprietary structure that allows for a high laser damage threshold. Custom shapes and sizes are possible due to the large manufactured substrates.
                                                                              • Bandpass Polarizers

                                                                              • Manufactured by depositing the filter coating on fused silica, our bandpass polarizer works well in situations for when the user only wants a small wavelength range to pass through with a specific polarization.

Bandpass polarizers are reflective, reflecting away the undesired polarization. This allows bandpass polarizers to be used in a mount that makes them a beamsplitting polarizer and increases the recommended safe operating limit to levels required for use with high powered laser. Bandpass polarizers have a high transmission of over 95% and an excellent contrast ratio (1,000,000:1 or OD6). Additionally, this product can be used in precision imaging systems courtesy of its low transmitted wavefront error.
                                                                              • Beam Separator

                                                                              • Meadowlark Optics’ Beam Separators are designed for laser line applications and consist of a true zero-order quarter-wave retarder aligned with its fast axis at 45° to the transmission axis of a Laser Line Beamsplitting Polarizer. The transmitted beam is circularly polarized, regardless of the input beam polarization state. Our true zero-order Precision Retarders are quarter-wave within ± λ/350 and aligning the fast axis to within 1° ensures greater than 99.8% source isolation from specular back reflections.
                                                                              • Dichroic Polarizers

                                                                              • Meadowlark Optics Dichroic Circular Polarizers consist of a dichroic linear polarizer and true zero-order quarterwave retarder. Precisely aligning the retarder fast axis at 45° to the linear polarization direction ensures optimum performance.

True zero-order retarders are used in the assembly of our Dichroic Circular Polarizers and tight retardance tolerances contribute to the final performance. Once aligned, both polarizer and retarder materials are laminated between optically flat substrates, providing a peak-to-valley transmitted wavefront distortion of less than λ/5. Anti-reflection coated windows ensure surface reflection losses are minimized.

Achievement of the desired polarization effect requires proper orientation of your Dichroic Circular Polarizer; be sure to position the indicator marking in the direction of beam propagation. Our standard Dichroic Circular Polarizers are designed for single wavelength applications. Achromatic versions are also available on a custom basis.
                                                                              • Glan-Thomson Polarizers

                                                                              • By precisely controlling internal prism angles in these calcite polarizers, a very efficient linear polarizer is produced.
Meadowlark Optics offers Glan-Thompson Polarizers, intended for precision optical instrumentation and low power laser applications. Our Glan-Thompson Polarizers are supplied in a black anodized cylindrical housing for easy mounting.
                                                                              • Versalight Polarizers

                                                                              • VersaLight™ is constructed of a thin layer of aluminum MicroWires® on a glass substrate and sets a new standard for applications requiring high durability, contrast and a wide field of view for visible through infrared wavelengths. VersaLight™ offers the performance quality of dichroic sheet polarizers while extending the operating temperature to 200° C.

The nature of VersaLight’s MicroWire construction allows it to perform as an exceptional polarizing beam splitter. In operation, VersaLight™ reflects one polarization state and transmits another, both with high contrast. VersaLight™ offers the broadest band and highest field of view of any polarizer material presently available. VersaLight™ can be shaped as needed and stacked to achieve very high contrast ratios.
Large aperture VersaLight™ Polarizers are available on a custom basis, up to 200mm rounds.
                                                                              • High Contrast Linear Polarizer

                                                                              • In response to the need for improved contrast in the near infrared region, Meadowlark Optics now offers a line of High Contrast Linear Polarizers. These polarizers are constructed by laminating dichroic glass polarizers between glass substrates to achieve improved wavefront performance and surface quality and have contrast ratios as high as 10,000:1. Custom wavelength ranges from 630 to 1580 nm with 60 to 80 nm bandpasses and sizes from 10 to 25 mm are available.
                                                                              • Wire Grid Beam Splitters

                                                                              • Meadowlark Optics presents its Versalight wire grid polarizing beam splitters. Manufactured for wavelength ranges between 420 and 2600 nm, this polarizer is ideal for broadband and wide field-of-view applications.

Wire grid polarizing beam splitters are manufactured out of our Versalight wire grid polarizer sandwiched between right angle prisms. No AR coatings are standard for maximum wavelength usage. Broadband AR coatings are available on the faces of the cube covering either visible (450 to 1100 nm) or IR (1000 to 2400 nm.)
                                                                              • Laser Line Beamsplitting Polarizers

                                                                              • Right-angle prisms are matched in pairs to produce high quality laser line beamsplitting polarizers with superior wavefront quality in both transmission and reflection.

                                                                                Highlights are:
                                                                                • High contrast
                                                                                • Low reflectance
                                                                                • Low transmitted wavefront distortion
                                                                              • Precision Linear Polarizers

                                                                              • Meadowlark Optics manufactures Precision Linear Polarizers using dichroic sheet polarizer material laminated between high quality glass substrates. For visible wavelength polarizers, this construction produces a peak-to-valley transmitted wavefront distortion of less than λ/5. Various polarizer materials are used to cover wavelengths within 320 and 2000 nm. Both visible and near infrared polarizers are supplied with a high-efficiency, broadband antireflection (AR) coating; single-layer AR coatings are optional on our ultraviolet polarizers. Both mounted and unmounted Precision Linear Polarizers are offered as standard products. To facilitate use, our Precision Linear Polarizers have the transmission axis marked on the part.
                                                                            • Spatial Light Modulators

                                                                                • Transmissive Spatial Light Modulators

                                                                                • Hex Spatial Light Modulator
Meadowlarks Optics transmissive hexagonal array SLMs are designed for adaptive optics applications. The two dimensional array of Liquid Crystal Variable Retarders acts as a real time programmable phase mask for wavefront correction of a linear polarized source.

Unwanted aberration effects are removed by introducing the opposite phase shift through the Hex SLM. The most common applications involve high-resolution imaging where viewing through an aberrant medium is unavoidable. Examples include astronomical imaging with ground-based telescopes and medical imaging through body fluids. High-energy laser users also benefit from active phase compensation for beam profile correction.
                                                                                • Reflektive Spatial Light Modulators

                                                                                • A spatial light modulator (SLM) is an electrically programmable device that modulates light according to a fixed spatial (pixel) pattern. SLMs have an expanding role in several optical areas where light control on a pixel-by-pixel basis is critical for optimum system performance. SLMs are typically used to control incident light in amplitude, phase, or the combination of both (phase-amplitude).
The XY SLM is based on reflective LCoS technology. Instead of using off-the-shelf displays, Meadowlark has designed multiple SLMs specifically for these applications. This custom design approach allows to offer products that are optimized for use in photonics applications.
                                                                                • CRi Spatial Light Modulators

                                                                                • These Spatial Light Modulators (SLMs) are based on proven industry‐leading designs, and offer both single mask and dual‐mask configurations for phase, amplitude, or for simultaneous phase/amplitude pulse shaping. The Cambridge Research & Instrumentation (CRi) Spatial Light Modulators (SLMs) are now a part of Meadowlark Optics. CRi collaborated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on the initial development of modern liquid crystal (LC) SLMs, and is the exclusive worldwide licensee of MIT’s technology for bonded optical masks for simultaneous phase and amplitude control in a single device.
                                                                              • Superchromatic Retarder

                                                                                    • Superchromatic Retarder

                                                                                    • Meadowlark Optics is proud to introduce our new Precision Superachromatic Retarder - now with the broadest wavelength coverage of our entire retarder product line. These are available standard for two wavelength ranges - 420 to 1100 nm and 800 to 1700 nm - and in both quarter and half wave retardances. Custom devices are available for other wavelength ranges and retardances. Stock items are not anti-reflection coated due to the broad wavelength coverage but custom coatings can be provided.

The Superachromatic Retarders contain carefully aligned birefringent polymer sheets laminated between precision polished optically flat N-BK7 windows. While assembly is quite similar to that of our Precision Retarders, optical transmission is slightly reduced because there are more polymer layers and there is no antireflection coating.

These retarders are accurate to ± λ/50 over the entire wavelength range; we ship retardance measurements at more than 25 wavelengths accurate to ±0.001 waves with every Precision Superachromatic Retarder.

                                                                                      • Polarimeter

                                                                                      • Meadowlark Optics user-friendly Polarimeters provide high accuracy and reliability in an easy to use instrument, suitable for manufacturing and laboratory applications.

Their Polarimeter is a compact system with convenient computer control that accurately measures Stokes Parameters 10 times per second. It quantifies the State of Polarization (SOP) and graphically displays the Poincaré Sphere, Polarization Ellipse, or running chart. The Meadowlark Optics system contains no spinning waveplates, motors, or other moving parts to wear or cause vibrations. Patented algorithms provide high accuracy and calibration versatility.

In addition to the tunability of wavelength, these filters also allow the user a choice of three different bandwidth sizes at each wavelength. Selecting a wider bandwidth, one can increase the overall transmission of broadband light whereas the narrow FWHM can pass only a few wavelengths from a broadband light source.

All tunable optical filters from Meadowlark Optics come with three components: the optical head, the controller, and the software necessary to run the tunable optical filter. This software can be installed and run on any Windows based PC through either the USB or serial port while using the provided FilterDRIVE software or commands in C++, MatLab or LabVIEW.

They consist of Z-cut KD*P crystals between protective windows that have transparent indium-tin oxide electrodes applied to their interior faces. The electrodes produce a uniform electric field normal to the optical faces and permit use of a thin (approximately 3 mm) KD*P crystal.

The thin crystal additionally makes these cells suitable for use in non-collimated imaging light beams slower than f/20. Meadowlark specializes in clear apertures up to 40 mm. These devices are useful as variable retarders in applications requiring very fast switching.

The filters can be used in a variety of applications including laboratory and space research. They feature a specially designed multilayer frequency selective microstructure, which resonantly transmits the radiation within a specified frequency band and reflects the out-of-band radiation.

We offer a wide choice of high-performance band-pass filters with central frequencies up to several THz.
The filters exhibit high peak transmission and low out-of-band spectral leakage. To maximize the out-of-band blocking, two filters in series can be easily employed without significant losses in a peak transmittance.

The matching mounting hole patterns of our different stages makes it very easy to build any configuration without the use of custom adapter plates.

These multi-axis setups allow you to position with nanometer precision and repeatability in multiple degrees of freedom. Thanks to the ultrasonic piezo drive technology of the individual stages, your multi-axis setup will have a long lifetime, position fast and noiseless and holds its position when powered off. One can even move at very low and constant speeds (µm/s).

                                                                                                                    • Optical fiber sensors based on Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG) are used to monitor stress, changes in temperature or pressure. Bridges, foundations of wind turbines or blades and safety fences are often equipped with fibers. Those fibers usually contain several FBGs. In this way changes can be measured and localized quickly. In order to interrogate the sensors the new Fiberstrike Module from Cleveland Electric Labs is easy and ready to use. It is portable, rugged and accommodates up to 8 channels.

Data collection works via local USB storage, Ethernet or Wi-Fi managed by the FiberStrike GUI and battery operation lasts up to 30 hours continuous via ethernet or local USB or up to 28 hours continuous operation via Wi-Fi. This makes checking of FBG sensors very easy.
                                                                                                                • Large Area Chemical Security

                                                                                                                      • Large Area Chemical Security

                                                                                                                      • Block Engineering's LaserWarn is an open-path chemical detection system based on patented quantum cascade laser technology. LaserWarn detects chemical threats, leaks, and fugitive emissions over a coverage area of thousands of square feet, and can be used in both indoor and outdoor applications.

Eye-safe laser beams and low-cost retroreflectors provide real-time, 24/7 early warning of Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs), Chemical Warfare Agents (CWAs) and other chemicals. Any target gas crossing the lasers, even at low concentrations, will be detected with a sub-second response time. The system requires no consumables, and is low maintenance compared to conventional networks of point sensors.

Both fixed-site and portable configurations are available. In fixed-site installations, the LaserWarn is positioned with mounted mirrors and retroreflectors to cover large areas, including perimeter monitoring of facilities. Portable configurations allow the LaserWarn to be brought to the boundary of a "hot zone" while reflectors are safely introduced to scan for chemical contamination.

Unlike conventional open-path IR and FTIR systems, the LaserWarn is able to detect chemicals at great standoff distances (standard range of 500 meters, with extended ranges of up to 3 kilometers). The system requires no liquid nitrogen or other consumable cooling mechanism. An extremely wide range of gases are detectable, and at a weight of 5 kilograms, LaserWarn can be easily relocated and reprogrammed for rapid detection of new threats.

                                                                                                                        • LaserSense-SC SiF4 Detector

                                                                                                                        • Block Engineering’s LaserSense-SC is a gas analyzer for demanding applications in the semiconductor industry that require both high-speed and high-sensitivity analysis.

The LaserSense-SC is unique in that it uses mid-infrared (MIR) laser technology. This enables multi-gas analysis with sensitivities at the parts-per-billion level (depending on the gas) and with measurement times of less than 1 second. The standard configuration for LaserSense-SC is designed for in-line process monitoring and control. The system can be customized based on user requirements.

Historically, mid-infrared spectroscopy has required Fourier-Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometers which use heated filaments as the source of light. To enable dramatically enhanced performance, Block Engineering has pioneered the development of widely tunable MIR lasers based on quantum cascade laser (QCL) technology. The LaserSense-SC provides the user with the ability to accurately measure PFC gases and process specific by-products with a response time that is faster and more robust than traditional FTIR systems.

The LaserSense-SC has many advantages over FTIR-based systems. Since laser beams remain collimated over long distances, very long-path gas cells can be used. The lower detection limit (LDL) improves with increasing length of the gas cell, allowing LDLs that are greater than ten times better than with an FTIR.

Furthermore, gas cells designed for use with the LaserSense-SC can be made to have much smaller volume. This is important in applications where fast measurements are required and where the refresh-rate of the gas cell can be a limiting factor.

The table below gives examples of several gases along with their LDL when using gas cell having a path length of 6 to 60 meters. Since gas cells with path lengths of greater than 100 meters are available, the LDL can be further reduced below the values given in the table below.

In contrary to IR lamps used in conventional IR and FTIR spectrometers QCLs have a high spectral intensity (linewidth about 1 cm-1, average power 1-3 mW) in a collimated beam. As a consequence much higher signal/noise ratios are reached and measurement times can be reduced substantially. This technique offers new possibilities in molecular spectroscopy and for process control.

LaserScope carries a tunable QCL and a MCT Detector with electronic and spectroscopy software. It can be fitted to most IR microscopes and can be combined with some visible light microscopes. The possibility to focus down to 6 µm is a big advantage of this technique compared with standard FTIR.

Not needing the flexibility of high end Raman systems means that for most specific tasks one excitation wavelength and a medium resolution are sufficient. Far more important criteria are low costs, portability and easy handling. This combination is the great advantage of fiber coupled Raman analyzers from ENWAVE Optronics.

Their product line-up ranges from laboratory systems with a fiber head like the ProRaman L to portable Raman spectrometers (EZRaman M) to the handheld system for field work (EZRaman H).

                                                                                                                              • CARS (Coherent Antistokes Raman Scattering) has been known for more than thirty years and is characterized by certain advantages and disadvantages compared to Raman spektroscopy. One drawback is the requirement of a relatively complex laser arrangement. With the availability of new compact short-pulse lasers and white light generation with photonic fibers broadband CARS arrangements are now easier to adjust and allow a short measurement time.

Important advantages of CARS are: fluorescence and luminescence suppression and a significantly stronger Raman signal.

Soliton offers a CARS option to a Raman microscope consisting of a sub-ns microchip laser for white light generation. The two laser beams are coupled onto the sample under a microscope and the CARS signal can be observed with the Raman microscope.
To record the CARS spectra, the software of the Raman microscope is used. In this way the same sample under the microscope can be studied both in the Raman Effect and with the CARS effect with subsequent comparison of the two spectra. Especially for highly fluorescent samples, as are often the case in biological tissues, the CARS option proves to be very useful.
An important field of application is medical technology, where rapid mapping of tumor tissue is a decisive advantage. Also food and environmental analysts are increasingly becoming interested in CARS since now Raman measurements are possible which have so far failed due to fluorescence.

                                                                                                                                  • The CARS laser from Leukos combines the pump beam and the Stokes beam in one single laser. What is special about this laser is the broad spectrum that reaches from 532nm to 1000nm and from 1064nm to 2400nm. Through this type of broadband CARS spectroscopy, spectra are measured from 100 to over 4000 cm-1 with a single laser shot. Thanks to the sub-ns pulse length a CARS system build with this laser is very robust, compact, and relatively inexpensive. The adjustment time is reduced from days to minutes. A later readjustment of the delay line is not necessary due to the pulse length.
                                                                                                                                  • Delay Line

                                                                                                                                  • To compensate for the delay of the two outputs of the ns CARS laser, a delay line is required. The modular design allows distances of up to 30 m. The standard delay line is 6m. A broadband supercontinuum for collimation and a periscope are integrated into the system. We also supply the filters specifically designed for the system.

There is no need of sample preparation and already small amount of sample is sufficient to measure elemental composition qualitatively and quantitatively.

In the LIBS process a laser creates a local plasma and the plasma emission is analyzed by a spectrometer. LIBS is frequently used to study organic material, as also elements lighter than silicon can measured down to H, He, Li. This is not possible with x-ray excitation like XRF for example.

While the configuration has been preset for optimal ease of use, it is simple to adjust for both minor and significant changes. As it stands, beam shaping and splitting has been radically simplified for the end-user. Aside from the miniMOT™ kit the customer will need two lasers (or single laser and modulator), and coupling optics to produce a MOT.

                                                                                                                                        • ColdQuanta’s PICAS, Photonically Integrated Cold Atom Source, is a compact, alignment-free package that produces a high-flux beam of laser-cooled atoms, using user-supplied, fiber-coupled light. When combined with a ColdQuanta source cell, the PICAS is easily integrated into the end user’s vacuum system through a standard CF interface, and the opto-mechanics unit can be removed during bake-out. The PICAS employs our patent-pending, ultra-compact beam expansion system. This unit produces a rectangular beam of circularly polarized light with an approximately uniform intensity profile via a combination of cylindrical lenses and a distribution optic. The complete system comprises two of these expander units, along with two retro-reflection mirror units and a push beam. All of the PICAS optical systems are pre-aligned and securely glued in place prior to cold atom testing. This approach ensures that the system is robust, immune to vibration, requires no user-alignment, and can be used in any orientation with respect to gravity.

A failed product will have to be returned to the factory floor for further processing or junked. In either case, time and money are lost. A more efficient approach would involve in-process monitoring using the 780 OL system. The 780 OL comprises of a range of tools for a variety of in-process and online applications.

These 780 OL systems represent a range of Autodilution fluidics which can be chosen for optimal measurement of your samples. 780 OL systems can be used to monitor processes from homogenization to grinding to semiconductor CMP polishing.

The newest addition to the 780 Online family, the 780 POU Point-of-Use monitor, is a small inexpensive unit that can be used for applications that require little or no dilution. So in addition to having systems that can handle concentrated dispersions like emulsions or inks , the 780 POU adds the monitoring of contamination which will have a big impact on pharmaceutical PAT.

                                                                                                                                            • The large research effort in nanotechnology over recent years has brought to the forefront the lack of easy-to-use tools for characterizing nanoparticles. While there are several established techniques in the field of particle sizing that can be used to measure the particle size distributions of nano-dispersions, few of them can provide quantitative information in the range of 0.1 to 1 microns.

As it turns out, there is a great need for this information. For example, this size range corresponds to where protein aggregates are expected to be, which is of interest to pharmaceutical companies that formulate protein-based drugs because of the safety and efficacy issues posed.Recently, SPOS technology has undergone a quantum leap in capability with respect to the lower size limit of single-particle detection and sizing.

Based on a new and innovative approach that uses a focused laser beam to achieve a much smaller and more intensely-illuminated view volume, this new FX-Nano technology can count and size particles as small as 150 nanometers. Importantly, the FX-Nano sensor functions at much higher particle concentrations than those allowed by traditional SPOS sensors – above 1,000,000/mL.

As a result, little or no dilution is required for most protein suspensions of interest. SPOS technology made it possible over the years to quantify oversized particles found in many types of dispersions, allowing manufacturers to improve products as diverse as IV emulsions and microprocessors.

The new innovation presented by the FX-Nano means that tails of much smaller nanoparticles can be characterized which will lead to the introduction new and improved protein drugs and therapies.

This is an ideal system to quantify the size and concentration of aggregated protein.

                                                                                                                                            • The Accusizer A2000 is designed to be a flexible platform for counting particles in all types of liquids: aqueous and organic, viscous and non-viscous.
The A2000 can count particles in large liquid volumes, with room for 1 liter beakers. In addition, the A2000 can perform precise dilutions too. This capability allows one to test dirty, contaminated fluids that normally have particle counts that exceed the sensor concentration limits.

Built into a single cabinet, the A2000 is a compact particle counter that can be used to test hydraulic oils, water, and other liquids. Oils up to 100 cP can be analyzed by the A2000.

The one pump Version of the A2000 directly draws sample through the sensor without any dilution. This is ideal for low concentration contamination applications. For higher concentration samples, like perhaps oil from gear boxes, a second pump version is available where the second pump introduces clean diluent to reduce the concentration below the coincidence limit. This offers the most flexible liquid particle counter configuration; direct measurement for low concentration samples, and automatic dilution when required for higher concentration samples.

The LE-400 sensor in the A2000 is a combination light obscuration and scattering sensor with a wide dynamic range from 0.4 – 500 µm with sensitivity to the ppt level and up to 9000 particles/mL. The sensor can be calibrated with either latex spheres or AC test dust.

The counter is a fast pulse height analyzer with up to 512 channels. This additional resolution may help identify the source of certain contaminants.
