Regulator

Company Profile

Regulator was founded in 1988 in Edenton, North Carolina by the Maxwells. They both shared a love and passion for fishing and had one compelling goal in mind as they established Regulator: to build the absolute best sportfishing boats in their niche. Today, Regulator operates from a first-class, 48,000 square foot manufacturing facility and employs over 80 highly skilled and trained boat builders and support staff, all of whom are dedicated to meeting or exceeding this same goal of product excellence. Regulator has manufactured over 1000 boats, a small number perhaps by industry production standards, but perfectly in keeping with the Maxwell's strategic plan and vision to build only the finest boats, one hull at a time. Regulator has received numerous industry and product accolades over the years, and also has enjoyed statewide recognition for its accomplishments. In 1999, Business North Carolina Magazine named the company its "Small Business of the Year," quite an honor in itself, especially in a state brimming with high-technology companies.
