            • The Nihot SDS windshifter (Single Drum Separator) is the ideal solution for separating all kind of waste types into two fractions, heavy and light. The robust construction and foolproof functionality guarantee a long lasting and trouble-free operation.

              The SDS windshifter is using industry-leading negative pressure technology to sort a wide range of materials by density and particularly useful in processing e.g.:

              • Our new SDX is a windshifter dedicated for RDF/SRF production plants, using industry-leading negative pressure technology to remove inert from the waste stream for the protection of secondary shredders.

                We have developed this unique windshifter to meet our customer’s needs: premium protection at the lowest cost per ton. The new SDX windshifter will meet their expectations by innovative designing and engineering, quick delivery and quick on-site assembly. A standard machine, dedicated for RDF/SRF installations and the overall benefit of providing superior separation. The SDX can process fraction sizes of 0-500 mm.

                • The Nihot DDS windshifter (Double Drum Separator) is the ideal solution for a three-way and high-volume separation. The DDS has two separating sections, this unique separating solution separates the input into three fractions:

                      The SDM windshifter, the most reliable and versatile heavy/light separator, is now available on tracks allowing customers the opportunity to choose the configuration which best suits their application and environment.                       • WSS windshifter

                      • The Nihot WSS windshifter is the ideal solution for any operation, but especially in tight spaces and in retrofits. Material is pneumatically conveyed, creating a great deal of flexibility for conveyor placement and duct routing.

                        The typical characteristic of a diagonal windshifter (WSS) is the use of a blow nozzle. About 60% of the aspirated air is returned back into the system. This allows for a smaller dust filter. But more over it helps to control the separation efficiency since we can fully adjust the blown air separately from the aspirated air. The WSS windshifter offers high separation efficiency with flexible footprint and can process fraction sizes of 20-400 mm and is mainly used in light packaging waste (DSD/PMD), PET, MSW and compost.
                          • Principle separating process

                          • The windshifter is a combination of a recirculation fan, a separation unit (the actual windshifter), and either a Rotary Air Separator (RAS) or Combi Separator. This configuration is individually designed and ideal for any operation, especially in tight spaces and in retrofits. A RAS can be installed for light weight fractions up to 3 t/h. When more capacities of light weight materials are applicable the Combi Separator can be used instead.

                            The picture below shows the operating principle of the WSS. The separation unit of the WSS windshifter has a diagonal design. In the diagonal shifter unit, the heavy materials are separated from the light materials.

                          The windshifter is a combination of a recirculation fan, a separation unit (the actual windshifter), and either a Rotary Air Separator (RAS) or Cyclone. This configuration is individually designed and ideal for any operation, especially in tight spaces and in retrofits. As an alternative to a Rotary Air Separators (RAS) we offer a complete range of Cyclones for fraction sizes from 0-20 mm.The picture below shows the operating principle of the WSV. The shifter unit of the WSV windshifter has a vertical design. In the vertical separation unit, the heavy materials are separated from the light materials.

                            • The shifter unit of the WSZ windshifter is of a zigzag-type design. In the zigzag separation unit, the heavy materials are separated from the light materials.

                                  • Max-AI product range

                                  • The Max-AI AQC (Autonomous Quality Control) sorters are the ultimate in post-sort automation. The AQC makes multiple sorting decisions autonomously; for example, separating thermoform trays, aluminum, 3D fiber and residue from a stream of optically-sorted PET bottles.
                              • Film Vacuum System

                              • In sorting cabins where manual sorting takes place, Nihot offers a series of very flexible and effective extra collection points for taking out film and foils from waste streams. The Film Vacuum System (FVS) is a combination of one or more suction points above a sorting belt, a recirculation fan and a Rotary Air Separator (RAS).

                                The FVS consists of one or more suction points, a re-circulation fan, and a material/air separator. The complete systems works in a closed loop. This means that the air which is used to suck the material is 100% brought back into the system. The FVS can be easily installed in existing sorting cabins.

                                The material which is (manually) brought to the suction point, is sucked into suction hood and pneumatically conveyed to a RAS where the material is dropped pressure less onto a conveyor belt or storage bay.

                                • Shredder Filters

                                • For all Nihot installations we offer a full range of dust filters in compliance with ATEX and CE regulations. The filters can be supplied in both positive as well as negative pressure variants.

                                  The filters are characterized by their ability to coop with small particles like film, foils and paper that are not removed before entering the dust filter. All filters are versatile, maintenance free, highly reliable and have low energy consumption.

                                  Dedicated filter for secondary shredders /granulators / balers

                                  The filters are characterized by the fact that they operate independently from a centralized dedusting system. They can be fitted an all makes and models of secondary filters and are, maintenance free, highly reliable and have low energy consumption.
