Product Portfolio
MPC Special Products
- Special Products, a solution for every application
MPC is always highly active in the development and innovation of clamps.
In addition to the wide range of screw clamps, pipe clamps, super clamps
and accumulator clamps we have developed special application products
for a variety of purposes, for example mini clamps (MPC M), earclips (MPC
OKD and OKERT), wire clamps (MPC DWC), universal clamps (MPC UC) and
quick release clamps (MPC QL) and many more. M
- In the case of MPC M the “M” is meant to indicate “mini”.
This wormdrive clamp is of a small clamping range and equipped with a short
bolt, making it perfectly suitable to clamp hoses with thin walls, such as
fuel hoses.
It is often called fuel hose clamp. The rounded edge prevents the clamp from
shearing into the hose. The MPC M is available in W1 and W4 material
qualities.
OKD
- The MPC OKD can be fastened without the use of a
screwdriver. The OKD abbreviation – (double ear clamp) refers to the two
protruding parts (the “ears”) at the two sides of the clamp, which can be
crimped with a pair of pliers. The ear clamp is easy to use, but it has a
limited clamping range.
OKERT
-
While the MPC OKD is manufactured with two “ears”, OKERT has only one. The abbreviation refers to the single, stainless steel continuous ear clamp construction. The clamp only needs to be crimped at one side and has a single clamping range. The inner side of the MPC OKERT is perfectly smooth.
DWC
- The MPC Double Wire Clamp (DWC) is a wire clamp made of a
double steel wire wound around the hose. This wire spring clamp works
especially well with spiral steel wire reinforced hoses (spiral hoses). MPC
manufactures wire clamps in any diameter range.
UC
- The most important characteristic of the MPC Universal
Clip (UC) is its flexibility. The clamp is small and flexible, resulting in
good applicability in tight, hard-to-access places. The MPC UC clamps are
often used to fix rubber boots that are meant to protect rotating parts,
such as CV boots.
QL
- The MPC Quick Lock (QL) quick clamps are delivered in
separate components: they comprise a large-diameter band (at least 80 mm)
and parts of a snap lock mechanism: hook and a quick latch that can both be
welded onto the band. Available band widths: 18/25 or 30 mm, with or without
rubber lining.
Accumulator clamps
- MPC accumulator clamps: for hydraulic accumulators.
Accumulators play an important security role. They accumulate decreasing
pressure. MPC accumulator clamps serve to securely fasten accumulators. MPC
accumulator clamps are applicable for a number of other purposes as well.
The are used to fasten cylindrical objects such as oxygen cylinders and fire
extinguishers. A cantilevered piece is fastened to the MPC accumulator
clamps that allows fixing the clamp to a surface. ACCU
- the MPC accumulator clamp, 30 mm band width
The MPC ACCU is a standard accumulator clamp; its band width is 30 mm, band
thickness 3 mm, fitted with M12 bolts. MPC can manufacture any variant of
this product: of galvanised stainless steel, with or without rubber lining,
with single or double fasteners.
ACCU LIGHT
- As the name implies, ACCU LIGHT is the lighter variant of
MPC ACCU. Its band thickness is 1.5 mm. The MPC ACCU LIGHT resembles a
superclamp. Unlike MPC ACCU, the LIGHT variant has no bridge. This
accumulator clamp therefore shows close resemblance to a superclamp. Thanks
to its lighter and simplified design, the MPC ACCU LIGHT is also a cheaper
alternative to MPC ACCU.
Fixing Clamps
- Fixing clamps affix hoses, pipes and cables to their proper places. It
is also known as duct clamp. MPC distributes two types of fixing clamps:
these are MPC SL and DL, the single lip ands double lip variants.
Rubber lined band
The rubber part of the band absorbs vibration and prevents cable damage,
while having an added insulating effect. MPC clamps may also be used without
the rubber lining, e.g. when they are intended to conduct electricity. SL
- The clamping range of the MPC SL fixing clamp is
smaller than the MPC DL’s: 13 mm (half an inch). The clamp
complies with the SMS standard and is available in W1 and W5
material qualities.
DL
- MPC DL fixing clamps are manufactured in compliance with
the European Standard DIN 3016. This fixing clamp has rubber lining and
separate lips at the bolt holes to further strengthen the band.
MPC DL is mostly stocked in dimensions frequently sought after, but any
diameter is available on order. Available band widths: 9, 12, 15, 20 and 25
mm, available material quality: W1, W4 and W5.
Superclamps
- Superclamps are ready for heavy duty applications.
There are some applications where strong wormdrive clamps are required.
These products are robust clamps, manufactured with wide bands, further
supported by bridges fitted with solid rivets. MPC offers this type of
clamps in its range named superclamps. MPC S is fitted with a single
bolt, while MPC DS has two bolts and the hybrid of the two is coded MPC
SP. MPC RS works well even on heavy and rigid hoses, not letting them
move a single millimeter, even under substantial pressure.
Small and strong
Small clamps can also be strong. The MPC SB and the mini superclamp, the
MPC MS function well under heavy duty applications even in the most
compact of application spaces.
Indestructible clamps
The superclamps or industrial clamps conform to strict standards and are
therefore indestructible. DSA
- The MPC DS has well earned being named superclamp. With
its wide band, strong bridge and massive rivets, it is ready for heavy duty
applications. While the MPC S is fitted with a hexagonal bolt, the DS
variant may be fitted with the help of two Allen bolts, tightening the clamp
at four points. It is manufactured in accordance with the European Standard
DIN 3017 with a band width between 20 and 24 mm in W1 and W5 material.
S
- Thanks to the rounded edge (does not shear into the
hose), the bridge, the massive rivets and the three welding points, the MPC
S superclamp represents the combination of strength and added security. The
raised hexagonal bolt head makes tightening easier.
This superclamp is ready for heavy duty applications: assembling thick,
reinforced irrigation hoses, pump assemblies, sewage applications, etc. The
larger diameter items have band widths ranging between 18 and 26 mm.
They are also available in small diameters, many of which are used in
trucks. The MPC S is manufactured in compliance with the European Standard
DIN 3017 and is available in three material qualities: W1, W2 and W4.
SP
- MPC SP is made of a cross between MPC S and DS. Similarly
to DS, the SP is also fitted with an Allen bolt and is fastened in a single
point as the S. As regards strength it is equivalent to the other two,
thanks to the massive rivets, the bridge and the strong band. It is
manufactured with a band width of 20 mm, in W1 and W5 material qualities.
SB
- The MPC superclamp with clamping jaw can be described as
the strong variant of a mini clamp. This superclamp is manufactured on order
in the diameter range of 9 mm to 25 mm with various band widths.
MS
- The mini superclamp (MS) serves some special goals in the
MPC product range. It uses very little space, thanks to which feature this
industrial clamp can be well used in the tightest of corners.
MPC MS clamps, for example are found on harvesters and sawing machines. It
is available with band widths of 7 and 9 mm and in W2 and W4 material
qualities.
RS
- The very name of the Real Strength (RS) clamps tell that
we are looking at the body building champion of the MPC product range. This
superclamp functions perfectly even on rigid and heavy hoses at high
operating pressures. This one of MPC’ strongest clamps. It is manufactured
with a band width of 30 mm. MPC RS is not always on stock and is not
available in batches in excess of one thousand units.
DSB
- The MPC DS has well earned being named superclamp. With
its wide band, strong bridge and massive rivets, it is ready for heavy duty
applications. While the MPC S is fitted with a hexagonal bolt, the DS
variant may be fitted with the help of two Allen bolts, tightening the clamp
at four points. It is manufactured in accordance with the European Standard
DIN 3017 with a band width between 20 and 24 mm in W1 and W5 material
qualities.
Wormdrive clamps
- MPC
wormdrive clamps for all possible applications
MPC Industries manufactures reliable wormdrive clamps for a multitude of
uses, from lawn mowers to motorboats, from washing machines to wind
turbines. Our wormdrive clamps are strong and - thanks to their design -
do not damage the hose they are tightened onto.
Compliance with the relevant standards
The clamps in our product range comply with a number of standards, most
important of which are: the European Standard DIN 3017, the SS 2298
standard and the NF E 27 851 standard. This allows the interested client
to find the clamp with the right dimension, suited to the specific
requirements in question in every case.
Flexible wormdrive clamps
The MPC Easy Fit (EF) clamps are the ultimate perfect solution to join
flexible, round duct elements, such as those used in ventilation
systems. Looking for a customized clamp? The MPC EB wormdrive clamp is
the ultimate solution.
Various material qualities
Our wormdrive clamps are available in a number of different material
qualities, with designation W1-W5 where the W5 represents the highest
corrosion resistance. ST
- MPC ST is the strongest wormdrive clamp, available as a
stainless steel hose clamp under the item code MPC G. MPC ST complies with
the SS 2298 standard and is suitable for a wide variety of applications,
e.g. in heavy industry, trucks and construction machinery.
The rounded edge of the clamps leaves the surface of the hose intact. The
compact grub screw structure and the housing made from drawn tubes ensure
resistance of the ST to torsional forces.
D
- The band of the MPC D is 9 mm wide, manufactured in
compliance with the European Standard DIN 3017. This standard guarantees
that the hose joins the connecting pipe end in a perfect tight fit.
The band is pressed, non-perforated, folded up at the edges and has smooth
inner surface. This allows the avoidance of hose damage. This wormdrive
clamp resists large torsional forces well and is not deformed due to the
radial and axial forces acting during fixing.
DD
- The MPC DD hose clamp is the thicker version of the MPC D
model. This wormdrive clamp has a 12 mm wide band. Similarly to the MPC D,
the MPC DD is also manufactured in compliance with the European Standard DIN
3017, ensuring that the hose joins the connecting pipe end in a perfect
tight fit.
The band is pressed, non-perforated, folded up at the edges and has smooth
inner surface. This allows the avoidance of hose damage. This clamp resists
large torsional forces well and is not deformed due to the axial and radial
forces acting during tightening.
HD
- The MPC high torque (HD) wormdrive clamp resists large
loads well. This clamp, made from 304 stainless steel, is broadly perforated
with a robust housing and screw. It therefore resists large loads, and is
perfectly suitable for applications where extreme tightening torques are
required.
BA
- The perforated band of the MPC BA always remains where it
has been placed. Thanks to the perforation the screw is pressed into the
band deeper, resulting in an improved fit. At the same time, it is also an
extremely flexible fit due to the holes on the band. The MPC BA hose clamp
band width is 8 or 14 mm, and is available in a wide range of diameters. The
clamp has been manufactured in compliance with the NF E 27 851 standard and
has an AFNOR certificate.
EB
- With the help of the MPC EB (endless band) you can make
your own clamp, perfectly suited to your needs. The clamp has been
manufactured in accordance with the NF E 27 851 standard and is supplied
with perforated coils of 25 metres and a box containing 50 housing units.
This clamp, with the choice to be perfectly customised is ideal for
servicing and maintenance works. With the help of the EB you can make a
clamp with the same sealing capability as ready-made clamps. The custom-made
clamp is also applicable in hard-to-access places. It is available in
various band widths and material qualities.
EF
- For the fixing of the flexible and semi-rigid round ducts
used in ventilation systems, the Easy Fit (EF) wormdrive clamp is the ideal
choice. This is why this type of clamp is commonly known as the ventilation
clamp. The hose clamp works similarly to how a cable tie does.
The EF is available in various forms, ranging from a minimum clamping
diameter of 25 mm to 750 mm of the EF, the largest variant. The favourably
priced, user friendly EF has a massive 9mm band, in compliance with the
European Standard DIN 3017. The band is pressed, folded up at the edges and
has smooth inner surface.
G
- The MPC G is as strong as the MPC ST wormdrive clamp,
with a similar tightening range. The G is made of 304 and 316 stainless
steel. This clamp has a pressed band, folded up at the edges. The MPC G
holds the hose perfectly this way, without damaging it. The extremely strong
MPC G will not deform from the axial and radial forces that act on it while
tightening.
GS
- The extended (GS) clamps in the MPC product range are
often used to link stainless steel ducts similar to smoke flues. This is why
the GS is also known as chimney clamp. With only one weld and the tightening
of one bolt, the smoke gases have no chance to leak. The MPC GS is available
in widths ranging from 9 mm to 12 mm and is made of AISI 304 stainless
steel.
