Bisley has expanded both its product range and distribution over the last 20 years and currently exports to more than 60 countries. The company is the United Kingdom's largest manufacturer of office furniture with world wide sales in excess of £70 million. Bisley is privately owned and was established in 1931. The company grew steadily until 1981 when the first filing cabinet was made. In the next twenty years sales grew from £3.8 million to £70 million establishing Bisley as the UK's best selling brand of office furniture. Bisley was awarded the Queens Award for Export Achievement in 1992 and again in 1997 ­ unprecedent in the UK furniture industry.
