Founded in 1992, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC) Beijing Company is a member of the CATIC Group and now operates as an independent company dealing with its business as a legal entity. Since 1980 it has engaged in international trade, introducing various machinery, complete sets of equipment and production lines, non-aviation product manufacturing technologies for the Chinese aviation industry. These have allowed the Chinese aviation factories to develop rapidly in a very short time, by providing them with the capability for mass-producing civil products, such as vehicles, motorcycles, cooling equipment, textile machinery and light-industrial machinery. @@In recent years, the company has paid more attention to high-tech and complete set products' sale. It has exported 130 million dollars value of ocean-going ships to Asian countries, and has exported 100 million dollars road construction machinery to South America. It is one of the subcontractors of the Boeing Aircraft Company and the BF Goodrich Company. In addition, export items include heavy duty trucks, automobiles and their spare parts as well as maintenance equipment, machine tools and their auxiliaries, motors, measuring & cutting tools, forgings & castings, construction materials & electrical apparatus, textile machinery & textiles, chemical materials, leisure goods, garden furniture & tools and more.
