          •  Basic model for food and non-food sectors

            As a basic model the horizontal cartoner HK 1 automates processes such as erecting, filling and sealing of pre-glued folding boxes with a maximum performance of 80 cycles/min.

            Operating Principles

            During the operational and synchronisation process the stable or flexible products are transported by a flexible bucket conveyor parallel to the folding box system and then get smoothly inserted through insertion applications.

            The filled folding boxes are closed and coded in accordance with customer’s specifications. Several control elements provide a trouble-free operation.
          • DIENST HK 2

          •  Universal model for food and non-food sectors

            As a universal model the horizontal cartoner HK 2 convinces with its flexibility and reliability through processes such as erecting, filling and sealing of pre-glued folding boxes with a performance of up to 160 cycles/min.

            Operating Principle

            During the operational and synchronisation process the stable or flexible products are conveyed parallel to the folding box conveyor by a flexible bucket conveyor and then get smoothly inserted through circumferential pushers.

            The filled folding boxes are closed through hot-melt application system or tuck-in, coded and controlled in accordance with customer’s specification. Several control elements provide a trouble-free operation.

          •  Model with ICS-Individual Carrier System

            The horizontal cartoner HK 3, equipped with an ICS-Individual Carrier System, is used for tasks with variable groupings in the high performance range of up to 400 cycles/min.

            Operating Principle HK 3

            The DIENST HK 3 system is a horizontal cartoner for special demands on high performance requirements.

            Form-stable or flexible products are moved independently of each other into movable carriers. The carriers move either one by one or in groups parallel to the folding box conveyor while the products are being inserted into the folding box. The filled folding boxes are closed through hot-melt application system or tuck-in, coded and controlled in accordance with customer’s specification.

            Several control elements provide a trouble-free operation.

          •  Top model in attractive „3-zone-design“

            The horizontal cartoner HK 4 automates as a class of its own the filling process of pre-glued folding boxes considering highest demands on format variety, low tooling time, ergonomics and high machine availability.

            High performance of up to 400 cycles/min. combined with smooth product handling is realised.

              The HE WA is designed in a modular ergonomic way for packing folding boxes and bags in a one-piece carton.

              Function Principle

              The DIENST final packer HE WA is designed in the packaging process as fully automatic solution. The pre-packaged products are put together as a set and inserted mechanically into the open cartons. After intaking the packing units the flat carton is folded around the product and sealed with hot-melt glue. Due to the closed tool head precise folding and glueing of cartons is guaranteed. Additionally the carton can be encoded.

            • Fully Automated Assembly in Various Forms of Packaging in Trays with Lids

              The HE C is designed in a modular and ergonomic way for packing folding boxes in a two-piece carton with maximum performance.

              Function Principle

              The DIENST Final Packer HE C provides the most compact design in a fully automated solution for the process of packing formstable products. The pre-packaged products are put together as a set and pushed onto the carton blanks. In the following step the lid is folded around the packing units, the complete container is forced through a folding tool and the thus formed and capped tray is passed to a second lower stage.

              The HE TL is designed in a modular and ergonomic way for packing of folding boxes and bags in a two-piece carton. The DIENST final packer HE TL is designed in the packaging process as fully automatic solution.

              Function Principle

              The pre-packaged products are put together as a set and inserted mechanically into the open cartons. After filling the packing units, tray and lid are sealed with hot-melt glue and encoded if required.

              The HE AC is designed in a modular and ergonomic way for packing of folding boxes and bags into the pre-glued American Case.

              Function Principle

              The entire packaging process of the American Casepacker HE AC is designed as a fully automated solution. The products collected to the desired packing unit are being pushed into the already mechanically opened carton box. After the insertion the carton boxes get closed and can be coded if necessary.
          • Top Load

          • The machines of the Top-Load-Series consist of the tasks erecting, filling and sealing of folding blanks. The common features are high format diversity and high performance with short format change-over times.
              • DIENST ZAM S II 1/2/3

              • Blank and Carton Forming System in Three Capacity Ranges

                The ZAM systems are designed for the erection of folding blanks, from simple to highly sophisticated folding box shapes at high power. The common features are high size diversity and performance in short format change.

                The system can be equipped to increase performance with up to 3 erecting heads. DIENST ZAM-systems are conceived for erecting processes of trays and boxes in various packing material qualities and in varieties in shape.

                Function Principle

                The carton blanks are picked out of the magazine by a swivel arm and then get transferred to the forming head where they are formed and fed to the following packaging process as a tray or a box.

                An ergonomic and cost saving benefit is the easy change to different flap closing methods.
              • DIENST ELS

              • Closing System for Top Load Cartons with One Flap

                The ELS systems are designed for the sealing of filled one flap boxes with a highly compact balcony design. The DIENST ELS system automates the closing processes of filled boxes with attached cover.

                Function Principle

                The boxes arrive in irregular distances or in a row and get synchronised into the required pitch.

                Before the cover flap is being closed, the dust flaps are folded and glued with hot-melt if necessary.

              • System for Closing Top Load Cartons with Three Flaps

                The DLS systems are designed for the sealing of filled three flap boxes with a highly compact balcony design. The DIENST DLS system automates the closing processes of filled boxes with attached cover.

                Function Principle

                The boxes arrive in irregular distances or in a row and get spaced fitting to the needed pitch. On both models the front flap is closed before the side flaps.

                • DIENST VK IV S

                • Fully Automated Assembling of Pre-Glued Cartons

                  The Dienst VK IV S automates the processes filling and closing of pre-glued cartons from all sorts of designs and carton qualities.

                  Function Principle

                  The DIENST VK IV S system automates the process of filling and closing of pre-glued cartons of different types and designs and of different carton qualities. The cartons are being erected by a rotation system and inserted into a drag chain. After transportation and closing of the bottom of the carton, it is filled through product specific loading or intake systems. The filled cartons are then being closed and encoded if needed. Several control mechanisms ensure an efficient operation.
                   
                •  DIENST HS II S

                • Fully Automated Sleeving of Products

                  The Dienst HS II S is banding products with paper loops with maximum efficiency. The DIENST system HS II S fully automates the processes of sleeving and closing meeting highest requirements.

                  Function Principle

                  Here the cutting is put on top of the product, which is transported on a conveyor and moves synchronized to the conveyor. The container is then being picked up by an upper shuttle-chain and the side flaps are being folded downward. Separately driven folding systems provide for folding and closing of the aligned flaps on product side or product bottom.

                  Depending on the requirements, the sleeves can be folded several times, closed with hot-melt glue or encoded if necessary.

                  Additionally for a secure connection, the sleeves can be fixated to the product by an individual type of glue.
                • DIENST HS IV S

                • Fully Automated Sleeving of Products and Folding Cartons

                  The Dienst HS IV S is banding products with paper loops with maximum efficiency. The DIENST HS IV S system automates the processes of sleeving and closing fulfilling highest demands. Thereby the product is placed on top of the carton blank.

                  Function Principle

                  During the process, the products come to the infeed parallel to the carton blank transporting on adjustable cassette belt.

                  They are positioned carefully through an insertion device on the flat carton blank. The sleeves are then folded several times as per customer’s requirements, closed with hot-melt glue and encoded if necessary.

                  Additionally for a secure connection, the sleeve can be fixated to the product by an individual type of glue.
                • DIENST KA 100/190

                • Erecting Machines for Carton or Plastics into Trays and Boxes

                  The KA systems are designed for the erection of folding blanks with sophisticated shapes. The system can be equipped to increase performance by up to 2 hubs. DIENST KA systems are specially conceived for erecting processes of trays and boxes of various forms.

                  Both systems work in rotary manner of four steps of 90° order.

                  Function Principle

                  With the model KA 100 the flat blanks are picked out of the vertical movable magazine by vacuum. Simultaneously glue is applied and with a 90° turn the blank becomes formed and stuck together by a forming tool around the forming head.

                  In the KA 190 model the magazine is arranged ergonomically in the machine front and transfers the blank with transfer arms to the forming head. After a 90° turn hot-melt or hot-air is applied before the blank is erected by the forming tool.
                • DIENST Pick & Place Systems

                • For Loading of Products or Boxes of Various Shapes and Characteristics

                  Top load loading systems are designed as a stand-alone machine or as an integrated component within a packaging line. The design of DIENST Top Load loading systems is characterized by the use of powerful standard components. This is highly cost-efficient. Customer and product specific designed vacuum or gripper plates complete the system.

                  Of course there is a wide range of product supply and handling systems, which ensure an effective automated packing process. Triplex models are there for handling tube like products such as plastic wrap, aluminum foil, wax paper, trash bags, organic bags and many more. The products are either picked up directly from the wrapping machine or taken from an intermediate conveying system and put into the boxes.

                  Function Principle

                  The pick and place module PP-D2 is a smartly designed cell with two axes driven by servo drives. Both single and multiple product handling is possible because of optimized transportation at the shortest cycle time.
                • DIENST Transfer Systems

                • Loading Systems for Loading of Products with Different Shapes and Characteristics

                  Conveyors by Dienst are designed as a stand-alone machine or as an integrated component within a packaging line. All three systems take over the products individually or in groups and put them in synchronized sequence into the following tracking system, for example a bucket conveyor. Star wheel feeders are designed for the storage of bag products in different size and consistency.

                  Function Principle

                  • Through the use of stars with at least 3 fans, a high cycle speed is achieved through short movements. The product infeed takes place into the following system unit or directly into the carton box.

                  • Flap infeeds are designed for the feeding of different types of products. By using multi-stage systems it is possible to gather products in one stage and place them down as a whole. Conveyor infeed systems are used in particular for large products.

                  • The classic type of product packaging, for example frozen pizza, is handled by multi staged conveyor belts. They separate the products and place them into the continuously running following system or have them stacked in the intermittent system.

                  • Bag in Box

                  • Bag-In-Box Solutions - Suitable for all Bag Sizes

                    Flat bags, side gusseted bags or block bottom bags.... DIENST has high capacity solutions for all „bag-in-box“ tasks. Soups, sauces, puddings, just a few of the products which may be inserted, stacked and packed in cardboard boxes.

                    Granola and cereals may be processed too, in all bag sizes and in a reliable and gentle manner.

                    Machine and Technology:

                    Sturdy, established cartoning machines with modern servo-driven technology are the source of classic packaging machinery. Dependent on required performance, one of four various machine types are available.

                    According to product arrangement inside of the cardboard box, special equipment is offered: collecting systems consisiting of compartment devices or carrier systems (ICS). Quick in-feed systems with short response times are suitable for majority of applications.

                    Modular machine construction allows many possibilities of extensions and adaptation of variable requirements.
                  • Bars

                  • Flowpacks Consisting of Cereal Bars or Similar Products

                    All types of flowpacks with bars and different products are being packaged fastly and economically by our ICS-Cartoners. A unique carrier system ensures safe collecting of products at a standstill and speeding up of the stacks until synchronized with the cartoner.

                    Machine and Technology:

                    Powerful cartoners in combination with unique carrier systems (ICS) result in individual excellence in many variations. Often, more than 1.000 products / min are safely taken, stacked and then grouped to pack them quickly and safely into folding boxes. Cartoner and ICS system form a functional unit, which is complemented by individually combinable in feed systems.

                    By flexible exchange of the attachments through quick release and easy format change, more flexibility can be achieved.
                  • Gable Top Cartons

                  • Special Closure with Gable, Euro Slots or Hoods

                    We can offer the processing of boxes with special closures such as gable, euro-hole or hoods in vertical and horizontal operation.

                    The additional folding and gluing equipment can - optionally - be combined with standard variants. Machine and Technology: Sophisticated cartoning systems with servo drives in electronic coupling, form the basis for a flexible machine series.

                    In addition, various dosages for filling the boxes are available. Compact extension modules for all available closing methods are added on request. The various closing modules are mostly easy to activate by pressing a button. Spindle adjustments cause short changeover times for format changes.

                  • Pizza

                  • Safe Pizza-Cartoning with up to 200 Cycles/min

                    Cartoner for frozen products such as pizza and pizza-baguette and other varieties are offered in a wide power range. Our stainless steel machines are robust, durable and provide excellence with up to 200 Folding Boxes/min.

                    Machine and Technology:

                    For frozen products of the food industry, perfected machines in three series are available. The capacity requirement is the criterion to determine the machine performance per minute.

                    70% of all applications are met with almost standardized components and assembled individually. Proven components can therefore be combined for demanded special solutions.
                  • Bottles

                  • Efficient and Reliable Cartoning of Bottles

                    In bottle packaging Dienst uses the tested turn over system for a safe and gentle bottle transport with maximum efficiency.

                    The bottles are taken over in an upright position and continuously laid over into a lying position with a swivel bucket. Feeder for scoops/spoons, promotional brochures and other leaflets may be added.

                    Machine and Technology:

                    The bottles are - coming from filling machines - taken over on a conveyor belt and synchronized with one bottle feeding spiral worm. After running into the bucket, the stationary bottles are gently turned over with the complete bucket and placed in the insertion station.

                    The machine and the central adjustment of the bucket reach capacities of up to 200 cartons/min. Tuck-in and hot-melt nozzle applicator ensure product safety.
                  • Top Load

                  • Top Load Lines for Sensitive Products

                    Top-Load-Line are ideal for products which are inserted into the folding box from the top and cannot be vertically cartonized. Therefore we offer a wide range of Top-Load-Lines in hygienic design. The machines have a capacity of 40 to 180 cartons per minute.

                    Machine and Technology:

                    Complete systems basically consist of 4 main elements:
                    • tray and carton erecting machine ZAM
                    • conveyors for folding boxes
                    • transport systems with automated or manual filling
                    • closing machines DLS series

                    Individual adjustment to the desired performance and the local conditions allow to obtain optimum results for the highest performance and maximum flexibility.

                  • Display Trays for Transportation and Product Presentation

                    The presentation of your products on the shelf or pallet trays is being realized by the wrap-around machine concept with servo technology and various groupings devices.

                    The folding box is automatically erected and filled with high performance. Processing of oversized formats is also possible.

                    Machine and Technology:

                    Machines of the HE-Tray series can be personalized and combined with custom grouping devices to final packer-concepts and process boxes of all sizes with a capacity of up to 25 trays/min. The design is always tailored to the task.
                  • Sleeve

                  • Product Banding with Sleeves

                    Product banding with solid board sleeves is a packaging type with high visual impact. The sleeving machines or carton-banding machines pursue a new packaging concept: Wrapping of different containers with a cardboard loop.

                    Whether ready meals in aluminum trays, chicken and turkey parts in thermoforming trays, canned fish, yoghurt in PET cups, ice cream in bowls - the applications are virtually limitless.

                    The cardboard loop can be printed on perfectly, simply loosened and separated from the container for recycling purposes. Fast product and/or format changes are easy to handle - the advantages are obvious. Our modular constructed devices and additional equipment fulfill multiple additional demands.

                    Machine and Technology:

                    Two machine type series are available to cover different requirements, providing maximum reliabiliy and flexibility. Requirements for packing at or above the blank, the machine type HS-IV-S with side insertion is best suited. Requirements for packing below the blank, our longitudinal sleeving machine type HS-II-S is the right packaging solution.
                  •  Special Boxes

                  • Secure Processing even of Special Cartons

                    With specially designed format tools, boxes are processed quickly and safely in special shapes. For these applications DIENST can offer horizontal and vertical cartoners. For the filling process, DIENST provides appropriate in feed systems and integrates multihead weighers and special dosages.

                    Machine and Technology:

                    Diverse and creative box designs require high flexibility of the possible machine elements. Apart from pure special constructions, the secret of the adaptability of a proven cartoning lies in the designed reserves to deal with special tasks.

                    Here DIENST offers a whole range of opportunities in the well designed series. Moreover, HK-II is the series of extraordinary demands on box design and sealing technologies. The robust basic machine is fully adaptable to all common machine boxes.
                     
                  • Pop-Out Carton

                  • Pop-Out Carton with Surprising Development

                    The packaging solution pop-out carton corresponds to a complex box construction which consists of two pieces. The lower part is erected without the use of binders and is provided with a dimensionally stable hood. Due to the high recovery forces of the lower part of the blank it jumps into the state of a plate as soon as the hood is removed.

                    The automation solution includes forming and holding of the lower part, the loading of such products for example through multi-head weighers, shaping and gluing of the hood, followed by the marriage and finally handing over to a labeling which fixes both parts to each other.

                    The form of packaging is possible as 4, 6 - and 8 - corner variant.
