Rollon increases product offering with the acquisition of Hegra

Rollon Corporation has announced the purchase of Hegra, a telescopic and linear guide manufacturer based in Germany. As a result Rollon’s customers worldwide will now have access to 84 additional linear guide and telescopic rail products.

Rick Wood, General Manager of Rollon Corporation, commented, “The deal not only increases our product offering, it also increases our customization capabilities for applications requiring more specialized motion control solutions. Hegra’s capabilities offer our customers some greater product design possibilities including different materials such as steel, stainless steel and aluminum.”

Among the new products now available is a range of full- and partial-extension telescoping rails a in widths from 26 to 74 mm and heights of 30 to 240 mm, which can handle loads of up to 17.5 kN per pair.

Until now Hegra’s linear rails have been primarily utilized for industrial applications in automotive, machine and aircraft construction.
