FISSO is the original

50 years ago, in 1973, FISSO’s founder Carlo Baitella applied for a patent for his invention: a central clamping mechanism with knob, which today is the basic technology for FISSO articulated arms and also for the arms of its competitors. In 1974 he obtained the patent.

He was looking for a suitable, quick to position, flexible and reliable holder for his test and measuring equipment in the workshop.

Today, the clamping technology is widely used not only in metrology, but also in medical applications as endoscope and retractor holder, in surgical robot navigation, in photography and machine vision and in many other applications.

FISSO, Simply the best Fixation over 50 years.
