KEBA wallbox fulfils “Z.E.-Ready 1.2” requirements

Charging Solutions, The Mobility House, ThePlugin Company and Vattenfall, KEBA’s installation partners, have long possessed “Z.E.-Ready” accreditation from the French automotive manufacturer Renault. And since April, they may now officially use the KEBA wallbox under “Z.E.-Ready 1.2”. The KeContact P20 thus meets Renault’s demanding standards to perfection.

Z.E.-Ready – strict safety guidelines for sustainable e-mobility
The French automotive manufacturer Renault ensures the implementation of internationally recognized standards through the use of Z.E.-Ready certificates. The latest of these, the “Z.E.-Ready 1.2”, has been specially matched to the Renault ZOE, which will be available throughout Europe from June onwards. Of importance is the fact that the ZOE does not carry a Mode 2 cable, which means that recharging from a domestic socket is not possible. Consequently, charging can only take place via a wallbox, which as in KEBA’s case, can charge an electric vehicle up to ten times faster.

Therefore, with its “Z.E.-Ready” certification, Renault, which is the first European producer to have a newly developed, purely electrically driven, serial production vehicle, has sent out a clear signal regarding higher quality, safety and simple operation.

Quality and safety: core values for both Renault and KEBA
Apart from usability, when developing its products KEBA focuses on maximum quality and safety for the user. Therefore, the Austrian automation specialist is all the more delighted that its wallboxes are “Z.E.-Ready” from selected installation partners in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Norway and Denmark.
