When conditions are tough, the new ENI11HD heavy-duty incremental rotary encoder provides reliable speed feedback for large asynchronous motors and is not affected by the pulsating currents of these motors.

In the steel industry, shipbuilding, in mines, or on offshore facilities, materials weighing hundreds of tons often need to be moved. Large asynchronous motors are used to provide the power. Highly robust rotary encoders control their speed and the sequence of the individual process steps.

Heat, cold, dirt, constant vibration, powerful shocks, and electromagnetic interference are no match for the new heavy-duty rotary encoder. The device is unaffected by the electrical currents generated by the constant rotation of the motor shafts. These currents are strong enough to destroy the ball bearings in conventional rotary encoders. The ENI11HD heavy-duty rotary encoder is resistant to such pulsating currents. It combines a long service life with a high level of reliability. Its terminal box can be rotated 360°, enabling greater flexibility during installation and maintenance while reducing costs.
