        HEATING WITHOUT ENERGY TIES

                    The EC filter with protected technology is available in various sizes. It is the perfect supplement that makes your biomass heating system even more environmentally responsible. It operates in a two-stage mode: coarse flue gas particles are separated out by the integral cyclone. The electric filter, encased in the immersion pipe of the cyclone, filters the fine dust from the flue gas. The height of the immersion pipe of the cyclone can be adjusted. Consequently, the flue gas can flow through the bypass in certain operating phases. This is particularly necessary during the start-up and non-stationary phases.

                      • Logs are not just the oldest form of fuel that mankind has known, even today it is still particularly sustainable (CO2 neutral and regional), protected against crises and fascinating. Those heating with logs also benefit from the lowest fuel costs amongst all fuel types. Logs are made by splitting sections of tree trunks into separate pieces and trimming these pieces to size. To avoid a moisture content in excess of 20 %, logs should be air-dried for at least two years (preferably in a sunny and windy location). This guarantees excellent combustion and very high levels of efficiency. Where logs are stored in basements or inside a building, such areas need to be well ventilated.                       • EVERYTHING SPEAKS FOR PELLETS AS FUEL – ENERGY POLICY - ECOLOGY AND ECONOMY.

                        Wood pellets are cylindrical pressings made under high pressure from natural residual wood or untreated wood shavings. According the ÖNORM 7135 they have a diameter of 6 mm. Pellets are between 10 and 40 mm long. The natural lignin contained within wood provides the pressed body with sufficient cohesion. No harmful additives are required. Environmentally responsible manufacture from locally grown timbers, short haulage lines and packaging require little energy, compared to fossil fuels. Wood (biomass) is a sustainable raw material that binds the same amount of CO2 as is released during its combustion. Consequently, pellets are a CO2 neutral fuel. Increasing use of biomass can make a lasting contribution to a reduction of the greenhouse effect.

                      • BURNING WOODCHIPS IS CO2 NEUTRAL. THE SAME AMOUNT OF CO2 IS RELEASED AS THE TIMBER REQUIRED DURING ITS GROWING PHASE.

                        The POWERCHIP has been designed as a wood chip boiler and is suitable for the combustion of wood chips (G30, max. W30). Wood chips are created from residual forestry wood or trees. Store chippings at least for one summer after felling in an airy, sunny location. In sunny spots, the material can be laid down with needles to utilise the "suction effect" of needles. Special chippers reduce the wood that has been drying for at least several months to the required size.
                      • PLANT-BASED FUELS

                      • Well developed planting, harvesting and storage technologies, as well as optimum means of handling and dosing, make energy grain an affordable and convenient fuel. Generally all types of grain used as animal feed are suitable.

                        The most suitable types of grain for combustion are those with chaff and low protein and nitrogen content, such as triticale.

                        Grain ash softens at approx. 700 °C (slag formation) (wood ash 1200 °C). Consequently it is recommended that, up to 50 kW boiler output, approx. 0.3 - 0.5 % by weight and above 50 kW boiler output, 0.5 - 0.8 % by weight calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2 = slaked lime is admixed to the grain prior to combustion.
