      • Mechanical Treatment

      • Mixed or pre-sorted industrial and commercial waste contains raw materials that can be recovered by means of mechanical processing. Mechanical recycling equipment supplied by Eggersmann separates recyclable waste by composition and particle size to deliver the recovered raw materials in a particularly effective and efficient way, in accordance with application and material requirements.

          • The natural fermentation-based recycling of organic waste provides us with a potentially inexhaustible source of energy.

            The fermentation of organic waste releases energy-rich methane gas, the high quality and economic efficiency of which makes it a viable alternative to fossil fuels. In addition to the recovery of biogas, Eggersmann recycling systems also provide nutrient-rich compost for use in the gardening and agricultural sectors.

                  • Air belt separator BBS

                  • Principle
                    The separator classifies the input material in a light weight and a heavy weight fraction. The input material has to be free of fines and oversizes as far as possible. The input material has to be free- owing and may not agglutinate. For a good separation results, the ratio of the smallest to the largest particle should be 1: 4.

                    Functional Description
                    The input material must be evenly distributed on the acceleration belt. Under the head of the accelerating belt a nozzle is placed. The input material passes this nozzle in free fall. Very light components are blown out of the stream over the arch belt directly into the settling chamber. In the transfer area, very heavy parts fall down on a heavy material discharge belt. All other parts reach the arch belt. Over the radius of the arch belt they are also separated into light and heavy fractions.

                    In the settling chamber the light fraction is separated from the air stream. Due to calming of the air, the light particles can settle here and are discharged by the light material discharge belt.

                    Air Management / Integrated Filters
                    The separator operates in recirculation mode. A second fan extracts the dust-laden air through a filter from the settling chamber and transfers the cleaned air to the surroundings. The separated dust is supplied to the light material fraction.

                  • Air lift separator V 70

                  • The V 70 is a air lift separator, designed for the removal of paper, plastics and other light materials from compost, wood and other streams of heavy waste. The V 70 comes in a silent diesel and an electric model.

                    It works through a system of a heavy duty fan, air hose and funnel. The funnel is placed over the moving stream of waste (e.g.: conveyor belt), and filters lighter material such as paper.

                    The machine is standalone, placed on a frame with forklift lifting points which makes it easy to move around.

                  • The Bale Breaker serves for unraveling of press bales of PET-bottles, waste paper, residual waste, plastic waste and similar materials, as well as the metered material transport downstream working processes. By adjusting the unraveling grade, an optimal subsequent sorting is guaranteed.

                    The BB- series does not crush but loosen the material for a most effective material sorting. If required, a supplemented ripping device can be installed for an additional loosening process and opening of tied bundles and cartons.

                    If the feeding of loose material per front loader and bales is required, the Bale Breaker is also available with a closed hopper with door at the rear side.

                  • Chain belt conveyor KGF

                  • The chain conveyor belt is used with light-weight and heavy transported materials, such as press-feed conveyors and storage discharge conveyors.

                    The conveyor is manufactured in a segmented construction. The belt frame is comprised of heavy, stable and torsion-resistant steel plating and profile constructions. The conveyor chain is an M112 massive bolt chain with 60 mm diameter rollers and 125 mm graduation.

                    The conveyor chain is supplied with lubricant from a central oiler system. Belt support profiles are attached by screws between the chains in intervals of 250 mm. The belt is attached with screws to the belt support profiles and the chain. The driver pins on the upper sider of the belt are connected every 750 mm to the belt support profiles. Only top-brand belts from DUNLOP and CONTI are used.

                    Support strips are continuously arranged at the feed position. The lower drum of the chain conveyor is provided with protection against operator intervention in the dangerous area. The feeding and discharge hoppers are adapted to the respective sites. The supports can be adapted to local requirements. Walkable and drivable pit covers, including peripheral angle, can be provided in the feed area.
                  • D-Storage

                  • Modern plants demand flexible charging and even batching. This was the idea behind the design of the D-series. A system that can be adapted to your operation due to its modular construction.

                    Each sorting chain can be loaded continuously by different modules, making effective use of available space. The storage volume can be increased at any time by adapting a further module. Basic-Module contains all the major components of the drive and the control unit. By adding further modules, the storage capacity can be increased as desired. Optimal batching and quantity limits are achieved by topping it with a module with dosing drum. The mat thickness can be specified exactly.

                  • DM - Dismantler for electric appliances

                  • The manual opening of the plastic housings of used small household appliances, electrical and electronic tools, toys and medical equipment is time-consuming and dangerous. Splitters and sharp edges, as well as the appliances’ contents may cause injuries.

                    The Dismantler DM executes this work automatically, safely and fast. The plastic housings are coarsely broken. The inside parts remain intact and can be removed safely.

                    The crushed housings are transported to subsequent sorting in a continuous material ow.

                  • Feed and Metering Hopper D

                  • D Feed and Metering Hoppers are designed for continous and even feeding of most different materials and are equipped with an electrical volume flow regulation and an MF Moving Floor Conveyor.

                    Preferably, such Feed and Metering Hoppers are employed for feeding in sorting and recovery plants with waste paper, packaging waste, waste wood, biodegradable waste, organic waste and wood chips. Feed- and Metering Hoppers of the D-series are charged e.g. by front loader. For adapting the feeding intervals to the operational demands, the hopper can be manufactured in various sizes.

                    The integrated MF Moving Floor Conveyor serves for material transport to the dosing unit. There, the recyclables are loosened up and presented to downstream sorting processes as even and continuous material stream. Optical sensors control the material layer on the discharge belt. The rotational speed of the dosing unit and the velocity of the moving floor are adjusted accordingly.
                    • For waste paper, biowaste, commercial waste, RDF, demolition waste, residual waste, etc.

                  • Feed hopper with decompactor DC

                  • Feed hoppers with an integral decompactor are used in mechanical and biological waste treatment facilities. They are used for taking up, buffering and dosed feeding of green, biological waste, organic production residues, plastic waste, etc. As a means of transportation, depending on the input material, chain scraper conveyors or belt conveyors can be used.

                    The above transport systems can be loaded via wheel loaders. All systems can be equipped with a decompactor with one or several decompactor rollers. The decompactor rollers loosen up the input material and ensure even transfer to downstream system components.

                    Feed hoppers with decompactors consist of a heavy, stable and torsion-resistant sheet steel and pro le steel structure. They are adapted to the particular requirements of the input material.
                  • Heavy material conveyor

                  • The heavy material is used with heavy transported materials, such as heavy building site rubble, or as a storage conveyor.

                    Thanks to its stable design, larger distances between supports can be realised. The conveyor is manufactured in a segmented construction. The conveyor belt frame is comprised of stable edge profiles equipped with all cut-outs and bore holes required for attaching accessories. The glide surface of the transported material can be reinforced in the feed area. The drive drum is fully gummed in order to exclude slipping in case of moisture.

                    In the interest of easier servicing, the drive and deflection drums are equipped with thread adapters. The conveyor belt slides over the surface and only top-brand belts from DUNLOP and CONTI are used. The return rollers are ball bearing – supported and easily replaced, even though they are protected against operator intervention by the lower belt cover.

                    The standard lower belt cover is in planar form, as this allows easy maintenance and cleaning.

                    The feeding and discharge hoppers are adapted to the respective sites. The supports can be adapted to local requirements.
                  • Lock-washer screen HKS 50

                  • The HKS 50 is a hook lift mobile screening machine which can be used downstream of a trommel screening machine or crusher. It can be employed as a completely mobile solution for oversize separation or fine fraction screening.
                    • Flexibility: The integrated optional diesel generator transforms the HKS 50 into a completely independent screening machine. The cassette design of the screening panels ensures that the HKS 50 is ready for quick, uncomplicated screening panel changes.
                    • Customer orientation: A variety of addition equipment options mean that the HKS 50 can be optimally adapted to suit customer wishes. For example, hydraulic supports can be ordered to raise the complete screening machine. This option enables the achievement of a larger material cone under the discharging conveyors.
                    • The HKS 50 achieves much more impressive screening capacities as a 2-fraction screening machine, thanks to generously dimensioned conveyor belts and a screening surface of 5.5 m2.

                    Special features: compact design, dedicated drive for independent operation

                  • Lock-washer screen R 60 / R 70

                  • The mobile R 60 or R 70 screening panel is used to achieve further fractioning downstream of Terra Select trommel screening machines. The screening panel is set up behind the fine or coarse-grain conveyor and powered by the optional auxiliary drive of the trommel screening machine.
                    • Flexibility: 3-fraction screening if required, otherwise the full performance capability of a Terra Select trommel screening machine without the screening panel
                    • Mobility: The R 60 screening panel can be transported on the infeed hopper of a T 50 or T 60 using hydraulic folding supports and a mounting for the rapid changer of a suitable wheel loader.
                    • The R 70 screening panel is ideal for achieving greater throughput rates or as an oversize grain separator, thanks to the larger screening surface. The R 70 screening panel can be equipped for transporting on a hook lift platform.

                  • Lock-washer screen S 50

                  • Customer expectations of a recycling machine in this performance class have played a decisive role in the development of the S 60. The wide, one-piece discharge conveyors are ideally arranged opposite to each other and facilitate movement of the machine into the working position. Large maintenance flaps provide exemplary access to the machine. A high tilting wall facilitates feeding of material into the large hopper. This prevents the material from tipping over during the loading process. The standard machine equipment meets every requirement.
                    • The S 60 is extremely economical, thanks to the entirely electric drive with an optional diesel generator.

                  • The Z 60 screening panel insert from Terra Select has been developed for the Terra Select T 60 trommel screening machine to expand its application options and increase its flexibility.

                    • Efficiency: Simple replacement of the screening trommel with the screening panel insert enhances the screening capacity of the Terra Select T 60 for certain materials by up to 40 %.
                    • Flexibility: Star screening technology can be used here in a trommel screening machine for applications which require greater throughput rates (e. g. for compost). Where the application purpose changes again, the screening insert can be removed in no time at all and the screening trommel is ready for use again.
                    The screening insert is equipped with an aggressive metering roller for optimum material distribution and is powered using the auxiliary drives of the screening machine.
                  • Moving Floor Conveyor MF

                  • MF Moving Floor Conveyors can be manufactured in virtually every length and width. Thanks to the design, the units can be transported in completely mounted state. All requested hopper capacities with reversible transport directions can be realised.

                    Characteristics:
                    Each MF Moving Floor Conveyor consists of three push-boards groups. Each group can be moved independently from the others. For transporting of material, all three groups are moved in the requested transport direction.

                    The material transport is effected by forward and backward moving push-boards. During the following working strokes, the groups are individually withdrawn. The material is held back on the unmoved push-boards. By reversing the transport direction, an optimal feeding of the hopper is achieved before the material is being transported to subsequent processes.

                    Additional equipment, such as sidewalls, completely closed hoppers or metering and discharging devices are available upon request.

                  • Perforators of the series are excellently suited for material feeding per front loader, as well as placing the machine over the conveyor belt charging the bale press.

                    The bottles are punctured and pressed at. Bottles rolling no more on the belt considerably facilitates buffering and transport of the material. The conveyor belt is used more efficiently for a much faster feeding of the bale press.

                    The perforator‘s mobility allows flexible handling and fast installation wherever needed. Modi ed, the machine can also be used as glass breaker.

                  • Principle
                    The separator classifies the input material in a light weight and a heavy weight fraction. The input material has to be free of fines and oversizes as far as possible. The input material has to be free- owing and may not agglutinate. For a good separation results, the ratio of the smallest to the largest particle should be 1: 4.

                    Functional Description
                    The input material must be evenly distributed on the acceleration belt. Under the head of the accelerating belt a nozzle is placed. The input material passes this nozzle in free fall. Very light components are blown out of the stream over the arch belt directly into the settling chamber. In the transfer area, very heavy parts fall down on a heavy material discharge belt. All other parts reach the arch belt. Over the radius of the arch belt they are also separated into light and heavy fractions.

                    In the settling chamber the light fraction is separated from the air stream. Due to calming of the air, the light particles can settle here and are discharged by the light material discharge belt.

                    Air Management / Integrated Filters
                    The separator operates in recirculation mode. A second fan extracts the dust-laden air through a filter from the settling chamber and transfers the cleaned air to the surroundings. The separated dust is supplied to the light material fraction.

                    With worlwide activties and years of experience in special machinery for recycling plants, we know exactly about the customers needs. The Eggersmann TEUTON Z 55 – a single-speed-shredder for grinding wood waste, organic waste, industrial waste, tires as well as bulk trash and matresses – is an efficient and low-maintenance universal shredder that fulfills all requirements.

                    Since a homogenous end product is the key to success on the worldwide markets, two shredders were often needed to reach that level in two work steps. The Eggersmann TEUTON Z 55 is able to do the pre- and post-shredding in one work step.
                  • Sliding belt conveyor GGF280

                  • The sliding belt conveyor is used with lightweight transported materials. The conveyor is manufactured in a segmented construction. The conveyor belt frame is comprised of stable edge profiles equipped with all cut-outs and bore holes required for attaching accessories. The glide surface of the transported material can be reinforced in the input area.

                    The drive drum is fully gummed in order to exclude slipping in case of moisture. In the interest of easier servicing the drive and deflection drums are equipped with thread adapters. The conveyor belt slides over the surface and only top-brand belts from DUNLOP and CONTI are used. The return rollers are ball bearing – supported and easily replaced, even though they are protected against operator intervention by the lower belt cover.

                    The standard lower belt cover is in planar form, as this allows easy maintenance and cleaning. The feeding and discharge hoppers are adapted to the respective sites. The supports can be adapted to local requirements.
                  • Trommel screen SD

                  • Trommel Screens separate the material input in different grain sizes. The specific materials, throughput rates and the screen size of the output fractions are the main criteria for the appropriate size of the screen drum.

                    The exchangeable screen sheet metals have round or rectangular holes, as well as an additional entangling protection if required for a particular kind of material. Further bag ripping tools, accelerators, mixers or other means can be added for additional improvement of the screening result.

                  • Perfect machine for three fraction screening
                    The Terra Select DT 60 is the “big brother” of the DT 50 and is based on the model T 60. Its enlarged screening area makes the DT 60 suitable for many different fields of application. This means that even two fine screenings, e. g. bark separation (0–10 mm, 10–40 mm, 40–x mm) can be screened in one step with a high throughput performance. The double trommel screening machines perform a “coarse before fine separation”; this process separates the coarse fractions in the initial step, which means that the fine screen covering then needs to screen a lower volume of material. This process ensures good throughout performance and has an excellent price/value ratio. The double trommel screening machines from Terra Select are subject to much less wear in comparison with the frequently used star screening machines in this performance class.

                    The Terra Select T 50 is the all-rounder among the trommel screening machines and a master of transformation: It only takes a few modi cations to be able to even use the trommels of others manufacturers in this model. Furthermore, the T 50 technology represents the combination between compact measurements and outstanding screening performance. Because of its adaptability and its convincing technical arguments, this model is perfectly placed in the five metre class.

                    The model T 70 is the most powerful, mobile trommel screening machine in the Terra Select product range and provides for convincing throughput performance. With an impressively large screen area, it easily handles even hard-to-screen materials, such as wet compost. The long trommel and the correspondingly wide screening deck are perfectly suited for screening all kinds of waste.
                    • The Terra Select T 70 achieves a screening performance of up to 250 m3/h using an effective screening area of approx. 46 m2.

                  • 3 times screening
                    The Terra Select T 80 is a very effcient trommel screening machine and produces three fractions in one step. The screening trommel is divided into two individually selectable, different perforations and the long screening areas are arranged one behind the other: This allows fine screening to be performed perfectly. Optionally, the hinged hopper grid on the infeed hopper already makes it possible to separate “thick chunks” while the machine is being filled. As a result, a total of four different fractions are produced with one machine.

                  • The troughed belt conveyor is used with lightweight and heavy transported materials.

                    The conveyor is manufactured in a segmented construction.                   • Tunnel filling system front loader

                  • The input system fills rotting and fermentation tunnels. A diagonally movable transfer bridge is installed upstream of the tunnel system, which includes a bridge belt as well as a filling shuttle with two transport belts and the Swivel distribution belt and moves between the tunnels.

                    The filling shuttle is able to enter the assigned tunnels on both sides and fill these in layers with the two transport belts. On the top, the tunnel walls are equipped with a continuous running beam consisting of reinforced concrete on which the filling shuttle moves. The filling shuttle carries a transport belt and pulls a second transport belt along with it into the tunnel for filling. This telescope principle makes it possible to fill long tunnels with a relatively short filling bridge. A swivel distribution belt is installed beneath the filling shuttle, which distributes the material across the entire tunnel surface up to the tunnel walls.

                    The material transferred on the transport belts is distributed in longitudinal direction and on the swivel distribution belt by the travel speed adapted to the material flow in such a way that layers with a relatively even thickness can be filled in. A permanently mounted supply belt is installed in front of the tunnel system. A scraper cart located on the supply bridge supplies the material to the transport belts via the bridge belt. Integral component of the supply belt is a volumetric flow rate measuring device that influences the control of the distribution function and thus the speed of the filling shuttle.

                    For optimum homogenisation, the material is filled in in several horizontal layers across the entire tunnel surface until the desired fill height is reached. Sensors record the fill height across the entire filling surface. Filling corrections are performed in the process until the specified fill height is achieved across the entire filling surface.
                  • Tunnel filling system top loader

                  • The filling system is used to fill rotting tunnels. A diagonally movable transfer bridge is installed upstream of the tunnel system, which picks up a filling shuttle with transport belt and moves this in front of the tunnels. The filling shuttle is able to enter an assigned tunnel and fill this in layers with the transport belt. On the top, the tunnel walls are equipped with a continuous running beam consisting of reinforced concrete on which the filling shuttle moves.

                    The filling shuttle picks up a diagonally movable and reversible transport belt that is equipped with a movable and reversible distribution belt on both ends. The distribution belt serves to transport the material up to the tunnel wall and set it down there. For this purpose, the corresponding distribution belt is moved to the discharge parabola of the transport belt. The material transferred on the transport belts is distributed in longitudinal and diagonal direction and on the distribution belt by the travel speed adapted to the material flow in such a way that layers with a relatively even thickness can be filled in.

                    The supply belt attached movably on the tunnel ceiling with automatic cover lifting device always follows the diagonal movements of the transport belt so that the material is always centrally distributed on the transport belt through the opening in the tunnel ceiling. Integral component of the supply belt is a volumetric flow rate measuring device that influences the control of the distribution function and thus the speed of the filling shuttle.

                    If required, the material is watered at the transfer point from the supply belt to the transport belt. The excess water is absorbed by the material in the tunnel. When filling in the material, the bottom half of the tunnel gate is closed to reduce emissions during suctioning towards the rear tunnel wall. For optimum homogenisation, the material is filled in in several horizontal layers across the entire tunnel surface until the desired fill height is reached.

                    Sensors record the fill height across the entire filling surface. Filling corrections are performed in the process until the specified fill height is achieved across the entire filling surface.
                  • Waste screen SMW

                  • SMW Waste screen is a potent, compact screen segment unit for efficient separation of MSW into two fractions.

                    The rotor elements consist of rugged steel tubes equipped with pentagonal screen discs. SMW Rotor Screens are flexibly adjustable to the individual separating behaviour and transport characteristics of the input material.

                    The axial distance of the single rotor elements can be adjusted gradually. Same renders possible to choose different axial distances over the whole length of the screen. The proven BRT design makes exchange of screen discs easy and fast to accomplish.

                    The machine can be upgraded with a speed control adjustment for optimal adjustment of the screen to the input material composititon. This additional feature enables the machine to operate with changing velocities. As further option, an inclination adjustment device can be used for changing the inclination angle. A prolonged treatment time of the material on the screen results in a higher screening quality.

                  • Windsifter V 40 / V 60

                  • The V 40 Windsifter can be used for continuous cleaning of coarse grain material when screening with a trommel screening machine. It is fitted to the end of the coarse grain conveyor. Air is blown under the material and impurities are syphoned away. The V 60 Windsifter is powered hydraulically via the screening machine or electrically.
                    • The V 40 and V 60 Windsifter operate with a suction/pressure fan with a capacity of 20.5 kW. This fan is mounted on the container which is filled with the impurities to be syphoned.
                      The syphon unit is moved with ease using the prongs of a forklift truck or a quick-change unit.

                  • Windsifter W 70

                  • The W 70 Windsifter is designed for cleaning light impurities out of screen over flows in composting and biomass recycling. Impressive cleaning performances are achieved, thanks to a dedicated infeed hopper with an integrated metering roller, and it is completely mobile. Materials which have already been screened can be cleansed of impurities completely independently of the screening machine.

                  • The Electric
                    The WE 60 Windsifter is a mainly semi-stationary or stationary and entirely electric Windsifter. Terra Select provides this Windsifter in two versions. The mobile WE 60 is mounted on the ABS 80 km/h road-legal chassis, and an entirely stationary solution is also available.
                    • Both machines use the same cleaning technology. The material is ideally fed into the WE 60 from a screening machine coarse grain conveyor, then distributed by an acceleration belt.
