They can be used as transportable or stationary drum and container pumps and are designed for a intermittent, non-continuous use. A well engineered and technologically clear design our drum pumps guarantees you an efficient and operationally reliable usage.

    Different pump tubes of our drum pumps for different media are interchangeable and can be used with same electric or pneumatic driven motor.             • For chemicals like acids, alkalies and cleaning solutions following seal-less pump tubes with a pump tube diameter of 41 mm can be used. Depending on the medium and its temperature the customer can choose between PP and PVDF pumps.
                • Pump tubes made of Polypropylene (PP)

                • are suitable for aggressive, neutral and nonflammable media like alkalies, acids, cleaning solutions, etc. The max. temperature is 50°C.

                  Examples of media:

                  Potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, formic acid, ammonia, boric acid, chromic acid and 10% acetic acid, hydrofluoric acid up to 70%, fruit acids, lactic acid, phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid to 80%. Furter more suitable for liquid fertilizers, photo developer, copper chloride and distilled water.

                • Pumps made of Polyvinylidenfluorid (PVDF)

                • are suitable for aggressive and non flammable media especially like for concentrated chemicals up to a max. temperature of 90°C.

                  Hydrobromic acid, chromic acid, chlorine, hydrofluoric acid, sodium hypochlorite, nitric acid and sulphuric acid. Further more all liquidss except natrium hydroxid that are listed at the Polypropylenel tubes can to be pumped.

              • Drum pumps for non flammable mineral oil products

              • with a pump tube diameter of 41 mm can be used for all non-aggressive and non-flammable materials in the automobile industry such as diesel, antifreeze, heating oil, hydraulic oils, machine oils and motor oils:
                    • Aluminium pumps

                    • are suited for all neutral and non flammable media up to a temperature of 90°C in the automobile industry.

                      Examples of media:
                      Diesel, heating oil, hydraulic oils, drilling emulsions, liquid soap, machine oils, motor oils, liquid wax, water and non-flammable solvents.

                      The pumps are not allowed to be used for flammable materials !

                      In combination with strongest electric motor (JP 280, IP 24, 825 watts) all oils up to a Viscosity of 1000 mPas can be handled. This is the absolute limit for normal drum pumps: For higher viscosities an air driven diaphragm pump or an eccentric screw pump has to be used.

                    Mixing pumps are suitable for those applications where low viscous to middle viscos media have to be mixed in barrels and other containers before they will be pumped.

                    The mixing pumps made of Polypropylene with a shaft of Hastelloy are particularly used for aggressive media such as acids, alkalies and cleaning agents. Stainless Steel mixing pump tubes are used primarily for neutral, lightly aggressive and flammable materials. The conductive Stainless Steel pump tubes are designed for use in ex zone 0.

                    • With these stainless steel pump tube media can be disposed nearly completely out of drums and containers (ATEX approval in preparation). With this pump tube for complete drum emptying made of Stainless Steel all neutral, lightly aggressive, dangerous and economically valuable liquids can be removed nearly completely out of drums and containers. Therefore these pump tubes are mainly used by our customers in cosmetic industry. Cause of the fact that the remaining amount of the medium will be around 0.1 liters all drums and containers can be emptied nearly completely and therefore in an optimized way. Further more there will be no additional costs or time required for emptying drums and containers in another way.

                      Easy to use and clean
                      By using the handle below the hand wheel before the drum pump motor will be switched off the pump tube will be closed at the end. Therefore the medium that would normally flow back inside the drum or container can not flow back and will stay inside the pump tube.

                      The pump tube can be disassembled in a few steps and this procedure can be done without the use of any special tools. If the pump tube is completely disassembled it can be cleaned in any easy way.

                      ATEX Certificate in preparation
                      The pump tube length 1000 mm will be used for 200 liter drums.
                      The pump tube length 1200 mm will be used for IBC containers.
                      As drives for the complete drum emptying pump tubes the electric motors JP-180, JP-200, JP-280 and JP-300 and the air motors driven motors have stood the test of time.

                        • The JESSBERGER universal motors that can be combined with all pump tubes outside hazardous areas are light, handy and powerful devices for almost all thin to middle viscous liquid. The portable and for stationary use suitable drum pump motors are particularly designed for intermittent, short-term operation. The technical clear design of the drum pumps guarantees a rational and safe use. Several pump tubes for different media are easily interchangeable and can be operated with the same motor.

                          Outside ex areas our motors can be combined also with the pump tubes of some of our competitors (and vice versa). Please ask us for details and convince yourself by our expert advice and optimal price performance ratio of our products. The flow rate of a drum pump depends firstly on the speed of the motor and then the motor power. For flammable liquids or for use in hazardous areas exproof drum pumps with appropriate accessories can be supplied. The electric and air-driven motors as well as the pump tubes made of conductive Stainless Steel need to have an ATEX approval for pumping flammable media.

                          Further more it is absolutely necessary to set a potential equalization. For this purpose you can use our bonding ground set consisting of 4 copper cables with clamps. An electronic speed control (as well as the low voltage release) is available as an option. The speed of the drum pump motors JP-160, JP-180, JP-200, JP 280 and JP-300 can be controlled at the sped control version via a knob at the motor handle and the flow rate adjusted conform to the application.

                            • For a safe and convenient emptying of drums and container we also offer a complete series of manual hand pumps. Hand pumps are pumps that are manually operated by hand. Depending on the medium different materials of the pump and of the seals are available.                                       The pumping principle of diaphragm pumps is proven for decades and is suitable for most applications.
                                      The diaphragm pumps are among the group of positive displacement pumps. They are powered by an air motor.                                           These horizontal centrifugal pumps are operated by a direct-drive motor (max. 3.000 rpm). They are especially suitable for a fast
                                          transfer of chemicals when emptying containers or tanks as well as for applications when a medium has to be pumped in circulation. The JP-840 series offers several pump sizes with flow rates from 6 to 75 m3/h and head from 7,2 to 38 m. Their special construction with an open-impeller allows even the pumping of extremely dirty liquids or media containing small solids. The maximum viscosity for these centrifugal pumps is 500 mPas (at 20 °C) and the maximum temperature of the medium 65 °C at PP or 95 °C at PVDF. Depending on the application there are two versions available with different internal seals (lip seal or bellow-type seal). The availability of different materials of construction – depending on chemical and thermical resistance of medium or environment – guarantees an absolute reliability of operation and a long life time of pump.

                                                These vertical centrifugal pumps are operated by a direct-drive motor (max. 3.000 rpm) and have high performance data regarding flow rate (6 to 75 m3/h) and head (7,5 to 38 m). They are especially suitable for a fast transfer of chemicals when emptying containers or tanks. Centrifugal pumps of series JP-820 will be mainly used for fixed installations while the pump column is immersed directly in the tank. The special construction of these pumps avoids the use of internal mechanical seals (that often have to be replaced) and ensures that any leakages will be collected in the tank. The open impeller allows even continuous pumping of extremely dirty liquids or media containing small solids. The maximum viscosity for these centrifugal pumps is 500 mPas (at 20 °C) and the maximum temperature of the medium 65 °C at PP or 95 °C at PVDF. The availability of different materials of construction – depending on chemical and thermical resistance of medium or environment – guarantees an absolute reliability of operation as well as a long life time of the pump.
