Fiskars is the oldest industrial company in Finland, established more than 350 years ago. Today Fiskars has three core business areas: industrial operations (consumer products), real estate holdings and long-term investments. Main market areas are North America and Europe. Consolidated net sales in 1999 amounted to EUR 665 million (FIM 4,0 billion). Net profit after tax was EUR 40 million corresponding to a profit per share EUR 0,73. Balance sheet totals to EUR 879 million, of which 25% consists of long-term investments. Fiskars employs 5600 people worldwide, 86% outside Finland.
