Black Thunder Powerboats

Company Profile

Since 1987, Black Thunder Powerboats has provided the high performance boat buyer with an alternative to one-dimensional sport boats. In 1992, the XT 430 was introduced boasting the widest cockpit on the market. Hot Boat Magazine dubbed the XT 430 the best cornering Deep-Vee ever tested. In 1994, a stock XT 430 was the only true production boat to finish Boating Magazine's Miami to New York Cannonball Run. In 1994, the XT 430 Sport Cruiser hit the market with the most headroom of any performance boat in its class. This was the first boat to feature a 9'6" beam, 6'6" of headroom, three bolsters across with a 14" isle and speeds of 70 mph using twin stock Mercruiser power. Today, they are raising the standard even higher with their new "AIR EFFECTS" stepped-bottom hull. "AIR EFFECTS®" incorporates two steps and on innovative double-notched transom to increase top end speeds by five mph and elevate cabin headroom to 6'10" maximum and 6' as far forward as the island berth! Whether your plans are for high speed adventures in conditions that would humble most others or entertaining below decks, you'll be right at home in the XT 430 Sport Cruiser.
