Boyer Fibrecraft is a Bendigo based company with expertise in Fibreglass, Spray-painting and boat building. Originally set up to produce the best small catamarans in the World, they now employ 14 full time staff in a variety of industrial and marine applications. Situated on two sites in Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo, their factory area is approximately 10,000 sq. ft, which includes two spray booths and specialised grinding facilities. They have accreditation to AS/NZS ISO 9002 Quality System. Established in 1986 by Managing Director/Quality Manager Jim Boyer, Boyer Fibrecraft at first specialised in the manufacture of small catamarans. Achievements include building the "Auscat A class" catamaran which has dominated race results in this international open class for most of the past decade, and the construction of the "Taipan" catamaran which is currently the fastest growing class of its type in Australia. They have exported their catamarans and they have set new standards of finish in both Europe and America. In more recent times their work has diversified to include spray painting, truck fleet maintenance and general lamination. Their staff has a wide range of abilities and include tradesmen with skills in fibreglass laminating, spray painting and boat building. These tradesmen also have training in fibreglass body maintenance and motor mechanics. Managing Director Jim Boyer has qualifications as a Mechanical Engineer.
