American Shipyard Company, LLC, is one of the oldest operating marine-industry firms in New England. Established in 1834, American Shipyard has been serving the military, commercial and pleasure-boat fleets with pride for well over 160 years. From America’s Cup contenders to U.S. Navy ships, ASC has provided first-class services over the years. More recently, ownership and management has changed and the improvements to the facilities prove a commitment by the new team to re-establish the shipyard as the industry-leader in the Northeast. ASC operates two facilities. Headquarters are at the north end of Newport’s inner harbor and our Quonset Point location is mid-way between Newport and Providence on the western shore of Narragansett Bay.
