        • The PALFINGER NED-DECK life raft davits have been designed for long time operation under adverse and extreme conditions in a highly corrosive marine environment. The life raft davit systems are suitable for safe and efficient launching of a fully manned liferaft against unfavourable conditions of trim of up to 10 degrees and a list of up to 20 degrees either way.

          The standard range of life raft davits consists of the slewing davit series and the pivoting davit series. Both life raft davit series are so-called “plug-in and play units” all guaranteeing easy installation on board.

        • Life Boat Davits

        • The PALFINGER MARINE life boat davits are suitable for any type of life-/ rescue boat with its full complement of persons and equipment. These life boat davits can be supplied in modular sections or as one completely assembled unit (skid mounted), depending on the available deck space.


          Since the safe working load and outreach of the davit are normally determined by the size of the life boat, PALFINGER MARINE as chosen for a limited range of standard designs which can be adapted to some extent in order to meet individual and specific needs.
        • Offshore Davits

        • The PALFINGER MARINE fixed outrigger davits have been designed for long time operation under adverse and extreme circumstances in a highly corrosive marine environment. The PALFINGER MARINE offshore davits are often prized for their simplicity. Easy installation, operation and economical aspects have made the davits the safe choice in the lifesaving industry.

          The davits fulfill the requirements as given in latest IMO/SOLAS requirements and all have a EC/MED Mark certificate. Optionally, in case of installation of the equipment in hazardous area, the electric components on the davit can be supplied in accordance with ATEX Approval, European standard for explosion proof equipment.
        • Free Fall Boat Davits

        • The PALFINGER MARINE free-fall lifeboat davits of the FFH series have been designed for a long time operation under adverse and extreme circumstances in a highly corrosive marine environment. The FFH-davit series are suitable for safe and efficient launching of a fully manned free-fall lifeboat against unfavourable conditions of trim of up to 10 degrees and a list of up to 20 degrees either way.

          The launch ramp has been provided with sliding pads, made of high density polyethylene, taking care after a smooth acceleration of the boat. In those cases where free-fall launch appears to be unpractical or unsafe, the system has also been provided with a secondary means to launch the lifeboat by falls against unfavourable conditions of trim of up to 2 degrees and a list of up to 5 degrees either way. Upon request, the FFH series can be supplied with a so-called “drop simulator” for training purposes
        • Fender Davits

        • PALFINGER MARINE has a wide range of electro-/hydraulic davits for fender handling. These davits are specifically designed for safe and efficient deployment of a (pneumatic) fender during offshore operations.

        • RHIB Recovery Installation

        • The RHIB Recovery System can launch a RHIB or fast interceptor within seconds. This aft entry system is similar to the launching and landing system found on advanced air craft carriers. The RHIB is instantly launched from the stern of the vessel. Upon recovery, a fully automatic hydraulic constant tensioning system catches the RHIB at full speed even when the main vessel is sailing.

          The RHIB Recovery System consists of the following main components all centrally connected to a double redundant PLC system:
