                                      When it comes to pouches, it’s obvious to think about beverage, which was one of the first industries to take advantage of this innovative packaging style.
                                      Juices, sport drinks, baby food, RTD yogurt… for all of them Cama has a variety of solutions responding to different packaging requirements.
                                      These solutions include compact and cost effective high speed cartoning machines for flat board display boxes as well as top loading systems when flexibility is needed and there is the request for interleaving pouches.
                                      Thanks to own experience and know-how, Cama is able to design tailor made turnkey solutions similar to the multi-flavour line in the picture where vision guided robots are selecting the right flavour and loading the pouches into the infeed belt of a cartoning machine. After the display boxes are closed, they are rotated into the correct position and loaded into shipping cases erected from flat blanks by our wrap-around case packer.

                                      Consumers are changing, they love to have the opportunity to choose, they don’t like standardized offers: for this reason the request for variety multipack is increasing.
                                      Not only different product flavors, but also different shapes or primary packs are requested to be packed in the same carton.
                                      Cama brilliantly solved the issue, proposing a very flexible system, with user friendly interface and quick change over operation.
                                      Up to 5 different products (flavors or shapes) could be cleverly mixed together to give the end user the desired packaging differentiation.
                                      There are 5 conveyor belts taking totes full of products to 5 different robotic cells. In every cell, 3 Cama Delta type robots pick the products and place them into a metal container moved by a belt.
                                      The combined work of the 5 top loading cells contributes to create 1 complete layer of mixed product in each transport pocket.
                                      The pocket conveyor carries the layers straight to a second robotic station where 2 other Cama Delta robots pick them up and place each complete layer in the open carton boxes previously formed by the automatic forming machine.
                                      Once the boxes are filled, they go through a high-speed checkweigher, after which leaflets or coupons can be added by an automatic feeder; the boxes are eventually closed by a Cama closing machine.

                                      Like a good product is a perfect match of several ingredients, so, for a high performing end of line system it’s important to have a perfect synchronization of the machines involved into the project.
                                      The recently installed complete line for mini-choco tablets packaging is a clear example of CAMA synergy: the two Companies proved one more time their capability to provide perfectly integrated packaging systems.

                                      The line is composed by two twin legs, each one composed by a high speed flowpack machine running up to 650 ppm, a star wheel product turning device, a Cama Tray forming machine and a 2 axis robot for the flowpacked wafer top loading.
                                      The 2 legs end up in a common “chimney” type lidding machine.

                                      This is a perfect example of a high efficiency turnkey system: tailor made industrial technology.

                                      Cama has supplied a high speed line for chocolate covered biscuits, made up of a cartoning machine, two delta robots and a display-box case packer. The products are discharged from a flowpack machine at the speed of 700 flow-wraps/minute and are picked up and loaded “line tracking” into the electronic cartoning machine infeed. Gentle handling guarantees the integrity of an extremely fragile product.
                                      Products are then packed into a carton and finally inserted into a display-box case in one of the different possible configurations.
                                      Cama’s ability to simultaneously manage three different secondary packaging technologies (robotics, cartoning and case packing) guarantees several advantages for the final customer.

                                      The complete line includes the primary packaging: high speed flowpack machines deliver flowpacked products to the downstream Cama machines.


                                      When production runs fast, it’s essential that all the players follow the rhythm, keeping the same beat. Combined experience of SPS & CAMA in providing turnkey systems has lead to high capacity and efficient lines that comply with the requirements of the most demanding world leading Companies creating harmony within their production facilities.

                                      The complete system comprises of an innovative SPS designed dribbleboard, gentle action feed conveyors and vibrating channels delivering lanes of products into a volumetric portioning loader that discharge slugs of biscuits into a 90° flight bar chain conveyor, with the slugs subsequently flow wrapped by 4 SPS machines BOE Modulo wrappers.
                                      After quality control, the flow wrapped slugs arrive on 4 separate conveyors and are merged into 2 lanes with each lane ending on a vertical race track conveyor of a CAMA continuous motion cartoning machine. Each Cama machine is operating up to 325 cartons per minute, for a total output of 650 cartons per minute. The packaging line is completed by a Cama top loading unit where a 2 axis robot is loading RCS cases previously formed by an automatic Cama case erector and subsequently closed by an automatic Cama case sealing machine. The corrugated cases can be loaded with either solid board cartons coming from the upstream equipment or with the flow wrapped slugs that by-pass the secondary cartoning machines.
                                      This solution gives great versatility to the end user enabling one single packaging system to load shipping cases directly with flow wrapped products or with premium price biscuits coming in high presentation preglued carton.
