Our mission at Cimetrix is to bring the power and productivity of the PC revolution to the factory floor. Our software products tackle the tough, demanding, motion intensive applications such as SMT equipment, semiconductor tools, electronics assembly equipment, robots, and packaging equipment. We focus on the industries that leverage PC technology and won’t consider being constrained by older proprietary controllers. Our solutions both control the actual equipment and communicate necessary data leveraging standards and the Internet. We are driven to provide equipment OEMs with the right software tools to reduce costs during equipment design, integration/runoff, and in-field maintenance. We accomplish this by leveraging the latest in software technologies, having expertise in each industry we serve, and always focusing on customer service.
All of our software products leverage open architecture, object oriented designs, and industry standards. We see the same benefits that the office environment received in the 80’s taking place on the manufacturing floor in the electronics industries. It is only a matter of time, before PCs and modern programming tools are used universally in all manufacturing operations. Proprietary controllers will disappear; today’s computer technologies will take hold; equipment suppliers will cut their time to market by 50%; software will be completed ahead of hardware; end users will have common tools, reduced training/maintenance costs, increased safety; and a whole new industry of easy to use and deploy software products will emerge. We are at the forefront of this change. Our software technologies allow customers to simulate their machine or process which compresses development cycles, to control their machine or process with PC technology which reduces cost, and to communicate data to host computers and the Internet which increases efficiency.
